Lovely town with lots of flowers and trees, very clean, tidy and safe even in the evening. Not loud even in the evening was very quiet near the beach. Preferred Kisfaludy beach (strand). Less crowded and a bit cheaper, also more facilities and better quality/selection of food. Borcsa restaurant has great food and service.

Nice place, you have a lot of restaurants, hotels on all levels starting from street food up until fine dining and top hotels next to the lake. Also shopping is quite fine and you have a great set of activities as well you can do. Hiking and other activities are also possible. Old dirty room carpet corners not vacuumed Bathroom dark no shampoo No toiletries! Towels were not change /stayed 2 days/! No free drinking water no coffee or tea available to make in the room! Basically I think this hotel is faraway from 4 star hotel, maybe 2 or 3 star Very expensive for the quality! Olga

Great location to also visit other place on the north side...
Great location to also visit other place on the north side of the lake. We visited Veszprem, Tihany, Heviz, and Keszthely. Lots of beaches close by, our kids really liked Csopak strand and Alsóörs. Balatonfured itself is great for the walk along the boardwalk with all the stalls selling stuff and the tour boat rides in the evening.

The perfect place to visit lake Balaton with your family. The nightlife is not as other parts of Balaton, like for example Siofok, but it is perfect if you vacation with your children and want a calm, safe and relaxing environment friendly for children.

I appreciated the breakfast and dinner included in my reservation. The staff is super friendly. There are always some athletes staying in this Sport Hotel and there's an adjacent pools the guests have access to, but I had no time to check them out. Pools looked clean and tidy otherwise. Despite the presence of a bunch of young athletes, there were no problems with sleeping in the room.

The hosts were very kind and helpful. Supermarket is just 2-3 min walk away, and the beach is 15 minute walk down the hill. There is a paid parking lot near the beach so you can also go by car if you prefer. The town is beautiful, with very nice beach and a long promenade with lots of shops and restaurants. Really perfect place for a family vacation.

You can take breakfast or a coffee there. Has a nice back yard. The house has gone through a thorough process of restoration and there is an album available at the restaurant where you can see the before and after.

Location is up the hills so nice panoramic views; driving 10-20 min to the towns for restaurants and 20 min to Tihany peninsula for beach and attractions. Hosts were nice; I arrived very late and they were accommodating about that. They have a small restaurant; breakfast was average.

She arranged us accomodation for an extra night even though they were very busy and fully booked. The guesthouse is in the best area possible. We were able to park the car at another hotel's garage just across the street as the guesthouse has no parking. Great restaurants and breakfast place next door.

When we arrived there we had a very pleasant surprise: they upgraded our room. Consiarge and room service were great. However, what we enjoyed the most was the food at the NOON restaurant.
