It is nestled among the trees and quiet location at the end of the street. Staff are smiling and attentive of my needs. Great for relaxing after daily activities. The room was good with balcony. The bathroom needs a little TLC but overall I’m happy with the overall experience.

From Value for Money point of view, this is a perfect choice.

    Room was nicely furnished, bed was comfortable. I liked water dispenser on the hallway, so the hotel want to be more ecological. Breakfast was very nice with food variety and friendly staff.

    Semarang offers so much more than initially taught, off the touristy itenary, with exquisite architecture, delicious local food and fascinating history. The city is home to an array of cultural festivals, local entertainment, a testament of Javanese theatrical and cultural traditions. The little Netherlands in the old city offers stunning architecture of the 17th century, when Indonesia was a Dutch colony, where most buildings colonial in style, includes medieval, baroque and modern eras styles. Showing flourishing signs of rejuvenation, this city has one of the best preserved and restored historic centres in Indonesia, with charming streets, colourful neighborhoods, secret alleyways, flower markets, lush gardens and parks, perfect climate and gracious people.     My last visit, and stay overnight was about 20 years ago.

    My last visit, and stay overnight was about 20 years ago. When I stayed 1 night on 3rd Sept 2024. I see much development, tidier and cleaner. Thanks to the local people and the government. However there are a lot of home works to get Semarang rated equivalent with Singapore for instance. I am expecting cleaner tidier safer city and prosperous citizen.

    I love the local foods . People are nice and polite Staying at Ibis Style Simpang Lima , is a good decision. Close to every where, the front desk her name is Noni she is not just friendly but she a big help . She recommends us where to go to get good tasty local foods.

    Semarang is a beautiful historic city, with lots of old buildings and quite a few of them beautifully reinstated and renovated. It is also quite liberal with a good mix of churches and mosques. Because of that, you do see a lot of lovebirds around and once night falls, the colourful Rikshaws ornamented with glowing unicorns and other animals lighten up the city centre. We will definitely try to visit another time.
