My parents with their friends had an amazing experience staying at Montana Blues resort recently. Staff was super supportive, rooms and view from the rooms were great. They ordered both veg and non veg meals, both were delicious. Resort had its own live music night as well. I would highly recommend this property!

Manali feels like it's been ravaged—by us.
Manali feels like it's been ravaged—by us. As I entered the city, I was met with piles of garbage, long queues of people heading to popular spots, and vendors making false promises in the name of business. Everything felt overly commercialized. It was disheartening to see, especially because I carry such fond memories of visiting Manali with my parents during my childhood.
Now, it feels more like a bustling marketplace than the serene hill town I once knew. Trash litters the landscape, and the river is choked with waste—whether left by locals or tourists, it's hard to tell. What’s clear is that very few seem to care about preserving this beautiful part of the country.
That said, if you wander a bit away from the main town, you can still find quiet pockets of beauty. They’re rare, but they remind you of what Manali once was—and could be again.

Beautiful nature!
Beautiful nature! If you are going for relaxing then old Manali is the right place.
You can plan your own trip for Manali and nearby places like Solang valley, Rohtang pass, Naggar Cassel etc. But there is no guarantee that the food will be to your liking and preference.

Manali cannot be old for mountain lovers, no matter how many times you go back - the mountains always make you want for more!
Local eateries: Opt for local eateries than shiny restaurants. You will often be surprised. Rajma and red rice combination is staple and they cook it beautifully. You should taste Siddu - an amazing delicacy of their staple diet.
There is an eatery near Jana Waterfalls in Jana village - run by a family. You can sit on padded mattresses placed on the floor and eat from the thali placed on low tables. You can sit on conventional table-chairs also if you don't want to sit on the floor. Don't miss their vegetarian thali. It consists red rice grown in the mountains, rajma, saag, achar, and siddu - served with ghee and jaggery.
There are Rajasthani restaurants and Punjabi dhabas in the city who cook great food.
Rohtang is closed mostly till April, and beyond if it snows. Hampta La is a good experience. However, wild water rafting in Manali during the winter seems overrated as the rivers are mostly dry now. Hot-air balloon and paragliding can be worth it if you can keep the height in your veins :-)
A very sad thing I observed was that the government didn't give a damn about the endless trails of garbage strewn across the city.
Booking a taxi is fairly easy. For exploring higher mountains, it is strongly suggested to opt for 4 wheel drives.
Do try to visit during the local festivals. These are not overrated, and need to be experienced to know our people more deeply.

Best Property in Manali at very affordable price. Staff is very kind and nice. Kitchen was included in our room and they gave hot geaser water and heater facility. Location is very near to mall road and everything is nearby as hotel is in market area. Hotel has it’s own parking and staff is also helpful. especially Mr. Vijay 😊 I would give 5 star for location, clean rooms, facilities and staff hospitality 🤝🏻
What a pleasant surprise! We booked a deluxe room and were thrilled to receive a complimentary upgrade to a room with a balcony. Waking up to the fresh air and beautiful views from our private balcony truly enhanced our Manali experience. The room itself was lovely, and the unexpected upgrade made our stay even more special. This hotel definitely knows how to make guests feel valued!
Best budget hotel near mall road manali, the hospitality and services are very good, room of hotel are well designed and clean, the view from balcony is perfect valley and mountain view.
Food is also very delicious. Manager is very polite and helpful.
