Although Venice can be seen in a 2 day short stay, 3-4 days would be great to enjoy it at a slower pace. Be willing to walk and be willing to get “lost” in the different neighborhoods and eat in trattorias apart from Rialto and San Marco. And buy something from a small shop whose owner is actually from Venice even if it is inexpensive.

We enjoyed the views, the boat tour to Murano and Burano, and the gondola ride. The dueling orchestras in St. Mark's Square were great. It's a beautiful place. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Think again when considering Venice on your travels, it was overcrowded and incredibly dirty. Canals were smelly. Locals unfriendly and clearly not happy with tourists even though we visited end May beginning June which was not high season yet. We will not be returning to Venice, its charm and romance is gone unfortunately:(

I love Venice, when you get off the Bus which costs 17 EUR return to Marko Polo Airport the world stops at Piazzale Roma. There is no more Traffic, you enter a different world of incredible history, beautiful architecture and just a place that you often don't even need to Plan. Just walk and see where it takes you. You can search for the MUST Do's in Venice and then create a saved locations on google maps and just walk around, its just a beautiful place. The most important thing you can do while in Venice other than see its beautiful history is support Italian Businesses. Do not buy T-Shirts, hats, fake 3d printed glass and all the other trash that these non Italian market sellers are trying to flog. I am being very diplomatic here but you know who they are and you know where this junk is coming from.

    One of my favourite places.

One of my favourite places. I love Italy in general, and can read Italian. It is so beautiful, with the historic buildings and the art galleries, not to mention the non stop Vivaldi concerts and the La Fenice opera. We particularly like the lack of cars, and it is great fun to buy a weekly ticket and go everywhere on the vaporetto.

Venice is beautiful but also very crowded, which can be harder to handle when it’s hot. The locals aren’t very familiar with English and don’t always seem thrilled to share public transport with tourists, but it’s still a wonderful place to visit. I highly recommend visiting Burano—it’s peaceful and full of charm.

We loved the hotel - situated extremely close to the centre St Marks square , had a nice atmosphere with stylish furnishings. Our room was elegant and comfortable (though the water was not hot enough to take a shower in the morning or evening- this is the only reason why I rated the place very good instead of exceptional). The breakfast was exceptional - coffee, a wide choice of baked goods, delightful pastries, savoury food etc. We travelled a lot in Italy and I would rate the breakfast as one of the best we have experienced in Italy so far.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, AND FOR FIRST TIME TRAVELORS TO VENICE IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS IN THE HEART IF THE BEST PART OF VENICE, AND ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE ELSE. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP, COSY, CLEANED DAILY, AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A SMALLER ROOM COMPARED TO OTHERS BUT IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE TWO OF US. THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC AND HELPUL, AND WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN IF I RETURN TO VENICE.

Great location on the canal. The owner, Jennifer, was lovely. She was very informative and recommended a restaurant that we would have just bypassed. It turned out that it was the best meal we ended up having in our whole stay in Italy. Our flight home wasn’t until late but the hotel allowed us to store our bags at the property.
