United StatesThe staff communicated very effectively as we came in after hours, having spent all day at the Cala Goloritze. It was a very happy discovery to find that Baunei was, in fact, one of the Blue Zone villages in Sardinia where Dan Buettner's series was filmed. The customer service was amazing, and the view from our Balcony and from Breakfast was incredible.

United StatesFabulous place, right near Cala Goloritzé trailhead and tons of other natural attractions. Amazing food at the restaurant on site (best to reserve, and you can reserve the specially prepared meats, too, though we found the menu otherwise ample). Francesco was a great host, answered all our questions with English far better than my broken Italian. Lovely room with hot water, TV. We had no idea what to expect here at this remote location up the wild switchback roads and dirt tracks to the Golgo Plateau (use the property's GPS location on Booking) and came only for Goloritzé. Turned out to be a top stay in Sardinia. Now we're talking about going back here to stay for a week.

Baunei was a beautiful town which exceeded expectations.
Baunei was a beautiful town which exceeded expectations. It is brilliantly located 15/20 mins away from stunning rocky or sandy beaches. There are 2 little supermarkets which do a roaring trade and some lovely restaurants as well as a very popular gelateria which is open until 11ish! Baunei is a beautiful historical village built on the side of a mountain. The views are amazing. Great restaurants and gelato. Fun place to visit for a few nights. Stunning in every possible way!
Stunning in every possible way! Everyone local we’re so friendly, we quickly Felt like a part of the furniture. Cafe centro was brilliant and we ate their often, and the gelato shop was incredible too. If you want somewhere with rustic authentic charm then this is the place for you! We did a boat tour to some of the beaches which was amazing and we hired a car so we could explore! Tourist port serving as a base for boat trips along the Baunei coast. Own parking space for the house is a bonus.
