Set on the right bank of Rome's Tiber River, Hotel Sant'Angelo is set in a historic building, just 1 km from the Spanish Steps. It offers free Wi-Fi and en suite rooms.

The location was excellent as we were able to walk to all the main attractions. The Vatican was less than half an hour on foot. The street where the hotel is located is not too busy and we had a peaceful nights sleep for the duration of our stay. Staff were very helpful and we were able to leave our luggage after checking out so we could go for lunch before departing.

The Twentyone is a modern boutique hotel on Via Cola di Rienzo, one of Rome's best shopping streets. Castel Sant'Angelo and the historic centre are just a pleasant 10-minute walk away.

Location is convenient, close to restaurants and walking distance from shopping stores. Rooms were clean and comfortable. They have a convenient shower for travelers who have already checked out. Staff was so helpful, they organized transport for us and tour bus. Croissants were finger licking good😃

Just a 5-minute walk from the Coliseum and 100 metres from Cavour Metro, FH55 Grand Hotel Palatino is in Rome's Monti District. It offers an American bar and a restaurant. WiFi is free throughout.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Crisdeth on reception who gave us the warmest welcome and looked after us so well. Roberto who gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant. The nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. Exceptionally clean and so comfortable. We had a room on the sixth floor which had only been renovated. The breakfast was plentiful with such a variety to choose from. The fresh smoothies and delicious pastries, fresh fruit and everything else was lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel , from the minute you arrive the staff are ready to make your stay so enjoyable and comfortable. Less than a five minute walk to the colleseum, restaurants and delicious ice cream shops. We will definitely be back and thank you for making our trip to Rome so memorable.

Walking around the city is easy.

Walking around the city is easy. Many places to eat, drink, etc. The history of the city is amazing, to think many of those ancient buildings were there since the time of Christ is mind blowing. We went to the Borghese museum, highly recommend, but get there early if you don't get tickets in advance. The Vatican was special, need to do a private tour.

Briefly - Rome was overcrowded (due to new pope's election), unfortunately most (if not all) monuments were surrounded by construction walls which spoiled any good views on them. Downtown's tourist business are "occupied" by bangladeshi italians, which fact I don't judge, but one is being agressively offered whatever touristic stuff you can imagine and more.

Rome is an exciting city with lots to see and do but unfortunately everyone knows that now so even in May it felt rather overcrowded at the popular attractions. The food on the other hand I can highly recommend. We haven’t had a bad meal so far in Rome. In fact it feels a bit like Japan in that you get the feeling that Italians would be too proud of their food culture to serve you something inferior. We also discovered another little gem in Rome in the lovely little night scene of Rione Monti. A quieter version of Trastevere

Rome is obviously an amazing, historic city, but it is not...

Rome is obviously an amazing, historic city, but it is not built for anyone with mobility issues. Very few Metro stops had a lift/elevator or escalator, and the old roads are rocky to walk on. Don't even attempt to walk the Appian Way (Via Appia Antica). The FreeNow taxi app is pretty good if you don't want to be overcharged, which we used all the time, but plan ahead as it can take 5-15+ minutes to get a taxi depending on where you are and time of day. We also used Uber once when we couldn't get a FreeNow taxi. If you like public transportation, get the 7-day integrated CIS pass for unlimited Metro, tram, and bus rides. It's 24 euros and worth it. Again, for Metro rides, you'll need to be able to walk up/down stairs. We came during a "jubilee year" for the Vatican (once every 50 years), so it was extra crowded around the major tourist sites. Even so, it was still worth the visit; it's a beautiful city with friendly, easy-going people. Our visit was in early May, and the weather was just right.

Rome was so much better than I expected.

Rome was so much better than I expected. I had heard from others that it was a crowded, noisy, and dirty city. We arrived in early May, right as the Conclave was about to start, and found Rome to be vibrant, friendly, and for a large city, remarkably clean. There is so much history to see that the three full days we spent there were simply not enough.

This guesthouse was one of the best places I stayed in during my trip to Italy. The hosts were very kind and responsive. The guesthouse is located a few minutes from the Vatican and it is also close to the subway so you can easily access other sites within Rome from here. There are also some very nice restaurants nearby. The guesthouse was very clean and tastefully decorated. They had. kettle, tea and a coffee machine in the room. I would high recommend it.

This was the best hotel in Italy we have visited out of 7. Very clean, comfortable and with good vibe. Great outdoor swimming pool - we loved it after hot day. But the best was customer service. We have left a wallet and they helped us a lot and sent the wallet back. Location was good, not far from the metro station and when we used taxi from the city centre was not expensive. We had a very good time.

Fantastic location, super friendly staff and the place has a very Italy/Boutique vibe to it. It's small, but so are most hotels in Rome. We've stayed in a few different places in Rome, and this was our favorite. It's also close to Termini without being TOO close, which gets a little grimy.
