True to the pictures which attracted us in first place, Hotel Capizzo provided a very pleasant stay for our family.
The reception gave us sea-view rooms next to one another without even having to ask for, paid good attention during our stay, and were even super kind to post forgotten items after we left.
The beaches are a nice sunny walk away, with a gentle bit of uphill - much needed for the unavoidable caloric surplus. Good breakfast and ok restaurant, with top alternatives nearby, like 'Da Vito'. Grazie Capizzo & Magic Ischia!
Admire beautiful views across the coast of Lacco Ameno from the panoramic location of this charming hotel. Relax in the wellness centre which includes a natural, thermal pool.

Ischia was beautiful island with lots to do.
Ischia was beautiful island with lots to do. The thermal baths were not open at the time of our trip so would definitely go back again. We had a driver Franco take us around the island and was very knowledgeable about the island. I prefer Ischia over Capri and also we took a ferry from Ischia to Procida.... both are worth visiting!

Such a friendly island.
Such a friendly island. Forio was great to wander around lazily, Sant Angelo was an interesting old fishing village with a fabulous restaurant on the square, and the Port had great shopping streets and cafes to spend a day exploring. Taxis were hard to get out of season but buses are so easy - I totally recommend catching them to go everywhere! Just be careful when walking between places as there are often no pavements!
The sunset is unique -with a famous green flash as the sun goes below the horizon. We watched it from the amazing Lisola Restaurant, which is another one to recommend.
The Cactus garden is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours, with a super cafe as well (eats and drinks).

We have been there for 3 day in non-seasson. The 3 days seems to be suitable for enjoy the island in that time.
We visited several places/cities and spend most time of walking around and seeing nature and the island as such.
What I would reccommend is using public transport. It is well organized and enhough frequent in reasonable price. Driving there can be a nightmare for less experienced persons.

This was our second visit to Ischia and we are planning to return, hopefully to stay at the hotel we originally booked. That said here are the reasons we love Ischia:
1. Fantastic restaurants
2. The relaxed atmosphere
3. Many great hotels and holiday apartments to rent.
4. An easy to use public transport system.
5. Cafes with delicious gelato and sorbets.
6. Excellent gardens.
7. Delis with excellent food.
8. Beautiful beaches.
9. You can rent a car, scooter or e-bike.
10. If you run out local sites to visit you can get tours to the other islands and mainland attractions.

My husband and I went to visit Ischia out of season so most of the attractions (including thermal parks) were closed. Anyway we enjoyed the tranquility and local food and just wandering around the island very much. It is indeed a very beautiful spot on our planet.

The hotel is set in pretty gardens which has some nice sitting areas and lovely views. We stayed in a second floor double aspect room with a large balcony. This allowed for a cooling draft to come into the room. The views were amazing, one side to the sea and one side to the stunning Castello Aragonese. The hotel is closer to the Ponte side of Ischia and to restaurants/bars there.
The room was basic but spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and the cleaning staff were cheerful and helpful.
Everything, from the spacious room, to the delicious breakfast in a beautiful surroundings, the breathtaking views from the pool and the perfect cappuccino :). It is such a quiet place to relax and has one of the best restaurants just 100m away (Restaurant Montecorvo). The entire place is very nicely decorated and you feel like on a small agriturismo, but with a boutique hotel touch.
For us one of the best stays on our Amalfi and Ischia Trip.
The hotel has some of the best views in Italy - truly magical. Situated near Forio (10 min coastal walk), also a beach nearby down the hill along with Poseidon thermal spa which is the most perfect day out. Seeing is believing! All the hotel staff we’re extremely polite and welcoming, so helpful with booking transfers, boat days etc. What we would normally expect at 5* luxe hotel. Book now!
I highly recommend this place. It's the perfect place for resting in one of the best parts of Ischia Island. A bit far from the center but it's worth it to wake everyday at the beach. Hotel's restaurant is pretty good at a fair price. The host was really nice and helpful every time I needed
Basic accommodation but great value for money and comfortable. Good location in Ischia as can walk from Casamicciola port and a bus in front of the hotel goes to Ischia Porto; one of the best restaurants in Ischia is also only 5 minutes away on foot. Enjoyed the thermal pool.
