Hotel Modena old town is set in the historic center of Malcesine, 164 feet from the shore of Lake Garda.

Central location. Free parking 17 minutes walk from property after you drop off your luggage. Very good breakfast included. Lots of restaurants around. Comfortable beds and good fresh towels. Daily housekeeping. Basic room without small fridge etc.

Casa Marinella is located 164 feet from the shores of Lake Garda, in the center of Malcesine. It offers an attractive garden, a swimming pool, hot tub and free parking.

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake and it was lovely. Waking up every morning to the view of the mountains surrounding the lake was breathtaking. In the evening we could sit and enjoy a drink looking out toward the lights from the town and the town across the lake. Location was great, walk into town was very close and was paved and flat. Buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. Owners and staff were very friendly.

The eco-friendly Hotel Ariston of Malcesine, is adjacent to the cable car to Monte Baldo, and a 5-minute walk from the Scaligeri Castle and the beaches of Lake Garda.

This was a wonderful little hotel with a really friendly staff, beautiful gardens, and nice breakfast in the perfect location. The veiw from the castle view room was incredible also it was a 5 min walk to everything!

    I was there to watch family members run the Lake Garda marathon. I'm so glad we stayed 5 nights to settle in before and relax after. The old streets and castle are very atmospheric and in April the mountains around were still snow-capped and beautiful. Lots of restaurants (mostly with similar menus), friendly staff, plenty of shops, easy buses and ferries to other parts around the lake.

    Malcesine is a little town, yet has a great character.

    Malcesine is a little town, yet has a great character. Everything is in a close walking distance, the castle is not grand, but totally worth a visit for the views. Evenings would be challenging if you are travelling with the kids, as the town turns into a party city, and the later it gets, the more explaining you will have to do :) We stayed in Malcesine to be close to visit Limone sul Garda, which is much more grand, but also more expensive accommodation wise.

    Beautiful old town and castle, lovely boat trips to other parts of lake garda, great restaurants, individual shops, views, old castle. Lovely atmosphere and fabulous paths from Malcesine alongside the lake. Everything not too expensive so you could enjoy holiday treats. Amazing ice-cream. Great boat trips to other towns - everywhere beautiful views and the lake and the mountains too.

    We had booked this last minute but after enjoying Lago Como so much at the beginning of our trip I wanted to check out Garda and specifically Malcesine. I wish that we could have stayed at least two or three more days here!

    Malcesine is just the best little town around the lake Garda...

    Malcesine is just the best little town around the lake Garda according to my sister and me. It's such a charming little town, the way it's situated on a slope makes all the little alleyways forever changing and so interesting, you just can't get tired of them. There's plenty of little squares either facing the waterfront or in the midst of the old town. The castle on one side and the harbour on the other. Loads of lovely shops with really quaint and useful products, perfect souvenirs. Loads of restaurants and bars, all the ones we tried were superb. Malcesine has super access to Limone and Riva by a breezy boattrip and you could even go to the southside of lake Garda although this takes you a little longer.

    Regrettably, it rained for most of our three day stay in...

    Regrettably, it rained for most of our three day stay in Malcesine and we were unable to hike on top of Mount Baldo as planned. That said,we were able to take a boat across to Limone for a day and our visit did not disappoint. There are also a number of very good restaurants in Malcesine one of which is the « Al Gondoliere » which we dined at twice.

    I spent a much too short stay for the hospitality I found at this hotel.The room corresponds to the images on the website, the view from the balcony is spectacular, breakfast is varied and substantial, swimming pool, jacuzzi, private beach on the shore of the lake, parking on site. The town of Malcesine is the right place to explore the surroundings.I strongly recommend this hotel, for which a score of 10 is not enough. We will definitely come back. 100 points with all my heart !❤️

    A very nice hotel i the centre of Malcesine, perfect location, close to most of places to visit. The room was rather big with a nice balcony with a view over the main square. The room and the bathroom were fresh and clean. Very helpful and kind staff. The breakfast was very good, a lot of thing to chose from. Free parking, even if it took approx 15 min to walk there, but it was a lovely walk by the sea.

    This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. V clean , has parking and a short was down to Malcesine front. Female receptionist was amazing. V friendly and helpful. Our air con wouldn't work and she got it sorted for us. Waved us off when we left. Lovely outdoor pool not heated. Could get drinks from reception. Breakfast had lots to choose from and replaced quickly.

    Has a great view of lake garda from our room !!!! Hotel is also just a zebra crossing away from the beach and lake so it’s super convenient. Breakfast is sufficient. Staff were helpful and friendly especially when we had trouble with parking our car in the hotel lots. Toilet is spacious as well. Place is very serene !!
