Villa Totó was a wonderful choice in Cefalú. The team is attentive and super efficient, and can help with anything (booking taxis, restaurants, etc.). The hotel is very comfortable, with spacious and airy rooms and a wonderful breakfast. They stay in a quiet corner of the city, and provide drop off and pick up service in case you don’t want to walk to the city center.
On the edge of the Madonie Regional Park, Turismo Rurale Cefalù offers an outdoor pool with sea views. Rooms are air conditioned and there is free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Leonardo, Eleonora, and their super helper with a gorgeous smile, Vanessa welcomed us with open arms!
The beauty of their place and the spectacular view of the coast of Cefalu' are breathtaking!!!!
We had a delicious dinner of Pasta and grilled Orata while enjoying the clear vista of the Aelion Islands.
The grounds, the home, the lemon ochard, the perfume of Jasmine and Wisteria , the kittens, the couple of horses, the green mountain on our shoulders and the smiles of the other guests, made our very short stay even more memorable.
We came as guests and left as friends 🧡
We can't wait to return once again .

Laid back beautiful village and shoppers' paradise.
Laid back beautiful village and shoppers' paradise. Maybe a bit overcrowded during the day with day trippers from bus tours and cruise ships. Evenings are much quieter and magical with sea side dining and strolls along the alley ways and the obligatory gelato. Plan to make reservations at top restaurants or wait up to an hour if unplanned dinners after 7:30. One dining could be seaside, more expensive but with fresh catch and a great view. (Try Al Porticciolo) Our favorite meal was more local, near the cathedral at Passafiume Cantina. A day walk through the city is a must with extra time at the cathedral. If you visit in a warm month be prepared for crowds but definitely think about some beach time if only a picnic lunch to people watch. It is a 2 hour drive to Villa Romana del Casale to see magnificent mosaics and an incredible ancient palace. Must see!
Cefalu is definitely worth a few days before of after the inevitably chaotic but fun visit to Palermo.

Cathedral in Cefalu was very nice and one of 3 cathedrals in Sicily that are UNESCO world heritage sites. Although Cefalu was pleasant and we enjoyed our time there, I have to say we were VERY DISAPPOINTED in Sicily in general. There was heaps of trash along most roads which in many cases in the towns were VERY NARROW. All the drivers think they are Mario Andretti and drive like crazy people. Signage was poor and hardly any were in English. Only in the larger towns was English spoken. Parking in every one of the towns is a huge problem. It seems like everyone owns 2 cars and it is very difficult to find a parking space and then you have to find the machine to pay for parking. Not all of the machines took credit cards so you were always having to get coins. People were friendly. The Greek and Roman historic sites were poorly described and although nice to see were not really that great with the exception being Villa Romana del Casale. This had a huge collection of Roman mosaics. If you want to visit Italy, I highly recommend places north of Rome in particular the Lake District.

Most beautiful destination but we found 2 days would have been enough to see most of it. We walked everywhere in Cefalu - even around to the harbour for our boat trip. Highly recommend Al Faro for dinner. A short walk out of town but beautiful place to watch the sunset whilst having amazing food!

I loved exploring off the beaten track and watching the locals carrying on with their day to day lives despite the throng of tourists on the main streets. La Rocca is well worth the climb (make sure you wear solid shoes as you will need them and entery is not allowed without). A sunset stroll just outside of the city (going east) affords a beautiful view with the city skyline silhouetted by the setting sun. See attached photo.

Small town, very little tourists, amazing restaurants, easy to get to by bus. Train station was an easy 5–8 minute relatively flat walk to apartment. Extra bed (fold out) options if needed.
Fantastic market less than half mile walking.

The best side of the B&B is the owner - so involved, friendly, helpful and English speaking!!! - what isn't that normal in Italy... we felt so taken care of, individually treated all the time :) the place has got great vibes, the place is beautiful with a soul, very clean :) we ate in a few tasty places recommended by the owner. Cefalu is the most beautiful city in the whole Sicily :)
The siting and set-up of Hotel Kalura, with the sea on one side of the main building and a large swimming pool on the other, is a dream. So many lovely spots to sunbathe and go for a dip, set amidst striking scenery and crystal clear turquoise waters. Also - the waiters! They were lively, friendly, attentive and all seemed to enjoy their job. Not often you see that.
Location was great, staff were very nice, swimming pool was great and private beach just in front of the hotel very convenient. Amazing sea view from our room.
