The Rise Osaka Kitashinchi offers accommodations in Osaka. This hotel features a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi is available in the hotel rooms. Guests can enjoy 3 on-site restaurants.

As a family of five with three young children, we found this hotel wasn’t the best fit for our needs. While the location is relatively central, the surrounding area at night didn’t feel particularly family-friendly—it reminded us of Northbridge in Perth, with some sights and activities we’d rather our kids not be exposed to. The rooms were quite small, making it challenging to open and organize our luggage. Additionally, there was no drinking water provided in the room; instead, guests had to use a shared water dispenser located down the hall, which wasn’t convenient for a family. Another downside was that room cleaning was only offered every two days or upon request, which wasn’t ideal during a longer stay. For the price we paid, we expected more in terms of comfort and service. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t stay here again.

FAQs about hotels in Osaka

A Stronghold of Japanese Culture

At the meeting point of river and sea, huge Osaka combines forward-thinking development and sure-footed tradition. This is symbolised in its temple-like, 16th century castle, guarded by ramparts and enlivened by vibrant spring cherry blossom. Dominating the surrounding skyline is Osaka Business Park, a reminder of the city’s strong role in the Japanese economy.

However, the most striking skyscraper is the Umeda Sky Building - 2 towers connected by a rooftop terrace offering far-reaching views. The nearby Osaka and Umeda train stations are linked by underground shopping centres, while the shops of Shinsaibashi’s America Village appeal to a younger crowd. Dōtonbori’s neon lights promote more shops, as well as restaurants considered the best in Osaka. In a city touted as Japan’s culinary capital, that’s quite an accolade.

The Tsūtenkaku tower overlooks Tennōji Park, home of the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art. Another nearby park houses Shitennō-ji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.

The Kyocera Dome Osaka is a shrine of baseball, and more thrills are at waterfront Universal Studios Japan, the country’s 2nd largest theme park. Also by the sea is Kansai International Airport, on its own artificial island.

The capsule hotel was invented in Osaka, and alongside this type of accommodation, Booking.com also offers luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels and traditional ryokans.

We did not like the city, although for one experience, for one day and night is OK. However, we stayed more for the EXPO visiting, 2 days visiting the Expo was worth a lot. And Nara and Kobe cities are not worth to spend time there, Kyoto and surroundings are much more valuable.

We like Osaka more than Tokyo (just my personal preference). The transportion system is good but it take little time to get used to. When ask for help from the local, try to say a SINGLE work instead of a SENTENCE.

Osaka is a wonderful city that contrasts against most other Japanese cities with its more rugged, alternative style and vibe. Its title as Japan's kitchen is well deserved, with restaurants and izakayas anywhere you turn, and it strikes the perfect balance of having lots to do while not being as overwhelming as Tokyo. We stayed in Osaka for four days which was the perfect amount of time for exploring all of the city without being too rushed off our feet. We used this time to visit Namba, Dotonbori, Shinsekai, Nipponbashi, Umeda, Shinsaibashi, Amerikamura, and the bay. The subway in Osaka is very efficient, making it an easy city to navigate, but it is also a surprisingly walkable city. If you're travelling from one area to a neighbouring area, I'd recommend walking the 20 or so minutes it takes to allow you to take in your surroundings properly. Great city that I look forward to visiting again one day.

Place I would rate the best of our experience in Japan.

Place I would rate the best of our experience in Japan. I will not miss visiting Osaka even if you have five days trip to Japan. The Midosuji avenue is beautiful to walk, day or night, rain or shine. The colourful Ginko trees decorated with lights, the avenue walk with flower pots and 29 major works of famous sculptors from Auguste Rodin, Kotaro Takamura, and Henry Moore and others is alone worth taking a trip to Osaka. Never ever seen such rich display on public street anywhere in the world.

There is plenty to do in Osaka.

There is plenty to do in Osaka. Downtown Dotonbori has a great vibe. The people are friendly. It is not far from Kyoto and the 1000 gates, and about 2 hrs on the bullet train to Hiroshima or Tokyo (northbound) Osaka Castle and Nara park (1000 tame deer) are definitely worth a visit. On the island next to Universal is a huge aquarium and ferris wheel with views over the city great at night time. The trains are really easy to use and much less hassle than a car.

Osaka was my favourite part of the trip.

Osaka was my favourite part of the trip. We stayed at Dotonbori hotel and were able to get everywhere easily. The trains are so good. We booked a Hungry Osaka Food tour and it was fantastic fun..got to sample a wide range of food in a friendly group. Umeda Sky was a great view but could probably end up being a queue. Osaka castle also long lines so we skipped it and just walked around in the gardens.

Location is good, just 6 min walk to Sjhin-Imamiya Station direct train to KIX airport. Tsutenkaku is nearby and Dotonbori is just one station away, shop until you drop. Go to Kuromon Ichiba Market in the morning if you like fresh seafood but the good one doesn't come cheap. Osaka is a place to shop and eat. ESLEAD has many hotels in Osaka, don't mix up and went to the wrong one when you use google map.

Great location in Osaka. Staff was especially helpfull and spoke better english than in other hotels in Japan. We had lost a bag on the train, and the staff was very helpfull in communication with the JR railway to help us recuperate our bag. One of the best breakfast we had in Japan in a total of 10 hotels.

Modern hotel, super comfortable rooms. Breakfast was really great, one of the best we had during our trip across Japan. While not in the center itself, Dotonbori / Namba is very easy to reach by metro or walking. Lots of options for food & drinks nearby, and a 7/11 across the street.
