On the beach location is excellent! The beach club next door party into the night not so excellent as we were sold on the zen quiet cool vibe of coco tulum. Being right next door to a beach club doesn’t fit. Breakfast is mediocre and not ready at 7:30 as stated when you have to be somewhere at 8. Seagrass is raked up by opposing teams on either side but seems to be all put right in front of the expensive beach view bungalow we paid for: we got this pile of trash and it’s smell along with our beautiful beach view. Overall service is great, but there are details that need improvement.

I don't know where to begin...
I was so fortunate to have been able to call Los Arcos home for 11 days. And home it was. Everything about this hotel far exceeded my expectations.
Location: It can't be beat. This hotel is situated two blocks north of the main road where all the action is, yet it's very quiet. Everything dowtown is walkable, but if you're like me and prefer to dine where the locals eat, there are plenty of options nearby. It is a 10 minute walk to the ADO terminal, and also very close to the Collectivo stop.
Room: I was in room 14, at the end on the second floor. My room was remarkably clean, and huge! My room was freshened up daily, with garbages changed, bed made, and fresh towels provided. The room received a thoroughly deep clean twice during my stay, which was more than adequate. I found this room incredibly tranquil. The bed was so comfortable, and I can't remember the last time I've slept so well. The a/c worked flawlessly, cooling the room off within minutes after coming back after a day spent out in the sun.
Facilities: It's obvious the staff take great pride in maintaining the property here. I enjoyed my evenings sitting on the loungers near the pool under the large palm trees. The pool was lovely. There is a fountain turned on during the day, so you can enjoy the sounds of water cascading down and birds chirping. I also really appreciated the communal fridge in the main lobby area, and even more, the hotel kitty Fanta kept me good and entertained.
Services: The staff at this hotel are so very friendly and helpful. The ladies at the desk greeted me with a smile every time I came and went from the hotel. The daily breakfasts were also delicious, and the variety changed daily. The unlimited drip coffee was available at all hours which I appreciated greatly.
I could say so much more, but I'm running out of space to leave more comments here.

Swimming in warm, clear water that is usually swimmable or floatable on most days for most swimmers is delightful. Sea bird watching is always very rewarding while on the beach. And, the food is sensational.

Beaches are spectacular, we rented e bikes which were a godsend as we were staying outside the beach area. The military presence was a bit intimidating and Tulum town is nothing special. I probably wouldn't go back and we were sorry that we didn't spend half our time in Playa del Carmen just for a change of scenery. We liked the beach bar Planca.

The beach is beautiful, Santa Fe is free of beach bars so you only pay the £2 or so to get onto the beach not the beach cafe lot. Not allowed plastic bottles on the beach so will be charged £5 for a can of water once there if you don’t take a reusable bottle! . Cenotes are beautifull and all different so worth visiting a few. The ruins are great, arrive early though it gets hot and super busy.
The ADO coaches are great value to get from the airport and around generally (to Valladolid, Bacalar). You can use busbud app to arrange before or get off the plane and head for the ADO shopfront in the airport.
Pay for everything in cash or you’ll get scammed - everyone I spoke to had this happen at least once. They say your card hasn’t gone through and keep charging you; this is beach bars, cafes, shops and taxis. Rent a bike or get a bus as taxis aren’t regulated and ridiculously expensive!
It felt very safe and is a lovely place, shame tourists are so openly scammed cause it does make you wary of returning! Local people are so lovely and friendly, not everyone speaks English but I think that’s great! Overall amazing place highly recommend :)

Tulum is very rustic which may appeal to some people however I considered it far too expensive for the facilities offered. We hired a rental car to get to our hotel and to get around and see some of the Cenotes but to be honest I would not bother going to Tulum again. We stayed in Cancun at an all inclusive resort for the same price as our stay in Tulum where drinks and meals were super expensive. And for the cost of the rental car we could have taken tours from Cancun to see the same things.
Also note the water is not drinkable in Tulum!

I call customer care of booking for help and even property but end of staying there with not working air conditioner and bad smell water so it was not a good stay . Property owner canceled my last day stay and refund the money. But i would not recommend the property. The location which is mentioned on the booking site is not correct. No one is at reception for help and no room service.
LOCATION -- The location is great. Even though we were there at the sargassum/seaweed season (September), the beach was the cleanest that we experienced in that coast. The hotel also cleans the beach from the seaweed and it is one of the cleanest beaches. In addition, the location is just far enough from the craziness of Tulum party scene to give you the peace you need, but also walking distance to those areas and restaurants so you dont need a car while you are there. We did have a car but we did not need it for going for dinner, etc.
The property is so aesthetically pleasing. It screams ‘Tulum’. Nothing was compromised to the contrary. The beds were comfortable, the washroom was clean. It came with ample amenities and clean towels. They even provide you with refillable drinking water.
The location of the property is so good as it is only walking distance (like 5 mins) to most of the eatery, bars and souvenir shops. We had a car, reaching the famous cenotes or even Tulum hotelzone (beachside) was barely 10-12 minutes.
Overall, we had a lovely, warm stay.
During our holidays in mexico we stayed at Casa del Arbol for 4 nights. The check in was super easy. It was within walking distance of the Ado bus station. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. We also had free drinking water at our apartment. We also rented bicycles through the hotel - which was super easy and quick. We went to the beach by bike it took about 20-25min.
We also felt safe there (we were 2 girls) and there were supermarkets and numerous restaurants nearby.
We really loved to stay there! :)
Good location in Tulum town, yet away from the noise.... Car rentals and supermarket was a 5min walk. Loved our room - spacious n clean. Nice common areas too, very boutique, simple and lovely design. Decent pool, garden and balcony.
We reached the hotel at 1am and managed to check in without any trouble. Very friendly staff. (Thanks again).
Convenient car park.
Would definately stay here if i visit Tulum again. (And for us, staying in Town was way better than staying on the Beach Road)
I absolutely loved this hotel! the staff are wonderful and so helpful - they will happily book taxis for you to get to the beach/hotel zone. it’s clean and quiet, in a location that’s slightly off the beaten track which I loved! you can still walk or bike (or taxi) to the centre of Tulum or the beach as well though. the pool was quiet and never packed and the rooms were simple but lovely. would highly recommend!
I came all the way from Berlin, Germany to Tulum. La Zebra was a great choice but what really made it stand out was the health and wellness Pavillon overlooking the ocean. I had two exceptionally great classes (Yoga and HIIT) that really made all the difference. There are quite a few nice boutique hotels along the cost but none of them offers a workout experience with ocean view. I would recommend it any time!
Beautiful, peaceful boutique hotel near some of the best cafes and restaurants in Tulum. The service is brilliant and the staff went out of their way to make us feel very comfortable and provide lots of great recommendations. The room was huge and the whole vibe is very chilled and tranquil. We extended our stay by two nights! Would certainly stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay
This hotel was perfect! About 10 min taxi drive from the hotel zone of Tulum. The food is amazing, the pool area was awesome. The cafe Antoinette outside the hotel was good. It is located around a lot of restaurants. It’s not loud and the staff is GREAT! They are all nice and helpful. The room is cute too! I have no complaints and I’ll be back for sure.
Thank you for such a great stay
Amazing bungalows right on the carribean sea and sand which is exactly what I wanted. Comfortable with all amenities including A/C, fridge etc. but at the same time having the rustic bungalow feel. Beautiful sea view from inside the bungalow. Friendly and responsive staff. Very nice food and cocktails. Nice location in the Tulum beach hotel zone.
This hotel is definitely going for the rustic beach posada style. The room was fairly clean and beds were fairly comfortable. The location is okay as well, right on Punta Piedra beach which has public access. But It is in the beginning of Tulum's hotel zone which about 25-30 minutes walk from Tulum's prime beach area.
We had the most amazing stay at La Valise. The hotel was beautiful, everything was so well-organized and peaceful. so far it was the best hotel in Mexico.
Perfect for a honeymoon getaway, lovely beach, amazing and welcoming staff members who helped us at every moment.
Book it and dont think twice!
- rooms are very private
- breakfast by Rodrigo excellent (although slow)
- location is perfect for tulum centre (2/3 min walk to street tacos, bars and restaurants) and a 20 min cycle to the public beach/tulum mayan ruins
- lovely hotel exactly like the photos
- very accommodating staff
Very cute little hotel in the middle of Tulum Town. I think all the rooms have balconies towards the courtyard, so no noise issues. Room was clean and bright. Only stayed for one night because it was just a last minute substitute, wouldn’t mind staying longer.
I loved the all inclusive scooter rental and includes breakfast. The gym is awesome even though I didn’t get to use it and the circular rooftop pool was a dream to swim in. Location is in town 20 minutes from the hotel zone on the beach. All was great
Diamante K is located within the national Park in Tulum so it's surrounded by nature and it's very tranquil. The individual huts are all very beautiful and authentic, the grounds of the hotel are well maintained and very pretty.
super nice and quite relaxing small boutique hotel. service and food from menu all very tasty and good. much better service as any other hotel we stayed in mexico. beds extremely comfortable. i would stay here again.
In my previous visits to tulum I stayed at the hotels on the beach . Now I will only stay at the Shibari hotel, perfect location, hidden oasis. Great rooms , amenities and service . I didn’t want to leave :))
It’s a clean and cute stay, very spacious, pool is nice. We stayed in the pent house 3, which had a kitchen and a “hot” tub. Okay for 2 nights. Beach & ruins are far, but hotel is in Tulum city.
If I could.. I would keep Nomade Tulum secret for anyone, Nomade Tulum is beyond any hotels , services and normal facility and activities..
Nomade Tulum is a life stile ..
Nice caban-room in this vintage hotel.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the location front beach and near restaurants and shops of the hotel zone of Tulum
