A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War II. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural features are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centers than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.
Warsaw Old Town met my past expectations. Travel around the city is a breeze, as it is not difficult to book a ride in the city, whether by Bolt or Uber. However, most of the time it is not required to travel by public transportation or book a ride to get to your destination as Warsaw is a walkable city. Directions given by Google Maps are also accurate.
However, Warsaw is starting to get a bit too touristy for my liking. There are crowds of European tourists seen everywhere.

Warsaw is a fascinating city that blends history with modern life. It’s clean, safe, and easy to explore on foot or by public transport. The city offers a wide range of vegan restaurants, charming Old Town streets, rich museums, and plenty of green spaces. A perfect destination for a cultural, comfortable, and plant-based city break.

It's an amazing city.
It's an amazing city. If you knew nothing of its history, you'd still be impressed by the marvellous architecture, the huge variety of shops, museums, galleries and concert venues, not to mention the truly amazing number and range of places to eat. If you do know the history of the city (and the City Museum, the Museum of the Uprising give even more details) its rebuilding and transformation have quite miraculous. We're already planning our next trip to catch some of the things we missed this time.

Very spacious rooms. Not a genuine 5 star hotel but better than 4 star. Close walk to one of the best parks that I have been to in any city and only 5 minutes by bus to the centre. The buffet breakfast was really good. The staff were polite and helpful.
Good value for the money we paid and will definitely stay again if in Warsaw.
A good value hostel right in the middle of Warsaw. In the same road as Hotel Bristol, one of the top two hotels in the city making it easy to find. Situated between the university quarter and old town and close to the river couldn't be much better for the "sights". Perfect for a couple of days exploring the city
The hotel was in an excellent location if you visit Warsaw for tourism and you want to explore the town center...the old town..the old castles...the museums...and the local market..!!
All you need as a tourist...you can find it near by the hotel..!!
Best quality.. for money..!!!
The hotel is in the city centre really close to all attractions of Warsaw. Beautiful views, clean rooms, very good breakfast. A very nice hotel restaurant as well. It's a great place for a lovely city break in the capital of Poland.
