The communication prior to my arrival was great. It was so easy to find the place, meet who I needed to get settled and was given numerous tools to find great local restaurants, stores and more. The apartment itself was amazing. It was so clean, well decorated. The food supplied in the fridge and breakfast in the morning was so thoughtful and delicious. I was upset my stay wasn't longer. I will most definitely be back and will recommend this place to anyone I know visiting!

Located in a fully renovated traditional building at the heart of historical Lisbon, The Lisboans Apartments features elegant and tastefully decorated apartments. It is just a 5-minute walk from Commerce Square, which overlooks the Tagus River, and a 3-minute walk from the Lisbon Cathedral. All units have an exclusive interior design, featuring both vintage and contemporary custom-made furniture, as well as handmade Portuguese tiles. Hand-picked antiques and hand-woven textiles are also featured. Each unit comes with a comfortable seating area, a kitchenette and a private bathroom. Some also feature views over the surroundings. Guests are welcome to cook their own meals in the equipped kitchenette. Alternatively, a wide range of traditional Portuguese restaurants and eateries is within a short walk. Alfama, at a 5-minute walk, is renowned as Lisbon's Fado music district and guests can find many establishments serving traditional dishes and featuring live performances. Terreiro do Paço Metro Station is a 6-minute walk away, providing easy access to various areas in Lisbon. At 0.6 mi is Chiado, while Bairro Alto, with its trendy cafés, art galleries and bars, is at a 15-minute walk. Avenida da Liberdade is 0.9 mi away. The Lisboans Apartments
The story of The Lisboans begins right in Lisbon's historic centre, when we discovered a rundown building that had once seen a lot of action, since it was a factory of canned and preserved goods. As usual, one story's end is another story's beginning, and so it was with The Lisboans. In 2016, the building was completely refurbished, with the façade keeping its original architectural simplicity, and it is now housing 15 boutique serviced apartments, also known as The Lisboans. The Lisboans is a little piece of heaven, with all the amenities of a 5-star hotel, including an elegant but way cosier atmosphere. All apartments have the original finishes, high ceilings and unique floor-to-ceiling windows, with a just as wide and even more amazing view of the surrounding neighbourhood, from the public churches and trams to the very private clothes lines of the senior couples from the opposite building.
All units (or homes, to be fair) showcase their own exclusive interior design, featuring both vintage and contemporary custom-made furniture, handmade tiles based on our own designs, inspired by typical geometrical motives but with a modern flair. We also personally hand-picked antiques from shops all over the country, and even the textiles are hand-woven by Portuguese artisans. The result is a kind of fusion that creates a stylish, distinctive and surely unique atmosphere. Basically, we made sure every home had a Portuguese touch.
The Lisboans location is in a residential street, very close to the busiest downtown streets, but removed just enough to guarantee a villagelike quiet. Being very central, it's right across the Lisbon Cathedral, which is right in the heart of the city centre (or Baixa, as we call it). The Lisboans is in walking distance of most cultural landmarks, trendy dining spots and shopping attractions. Within a short walk, you can reach typical quarters like Chiado, Alfama, Graça, Mouraria, or Príncipe Real. Or you can opt for public transports, which are also nearby. The one thing you definitely need no transport to is the Tagus river itself. A mere five-minute walk. You can even sunbathe there! So don't hesitate: drop us a line, come over for a visit.
