Location of this hotel is really good - very close to the main attractions of Singapore. Close to the underground station, so it’s easy to commute to the airport. Also, there’s a shopping center beneath the hotel, so it’s easy to grab something to eat.

Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, whilst maintaining their own identity.
Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is great value dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Singapore can be humid for the uninitiated but one can navigate most of the city comfortably in air conditioning. Don't miss it: it's one of the world's wonders, impeccably run, spotlessly clean, efficient and can even be good value for money if the more touristy areas are avoided. Eat where the local people do, don't worry about some outlying places as the 'grab' app taxi service is both reliable and affordable. Last but not least, if well planned, there's a lot that's unique to be seen in Singapore. Don't miss the mysteries of Chinatown, and be aware that it's narrow-looking, traditional shophouses are deep, and harbour a lot of magic. Never be shy to ask for permission to look about. No disappointments.

In May it was really hot (33C), but we stayed 5 days and wished we had booked a couple more. So much to see - the zoo with lots of shade and a free shuttle; arts science museum; Flower dome and cloud forest at Bayfront gardens; River world - see the pandas as well as manatee, sting rays and lots of other fish. NUS Baba house is great and well worth a visit, but will be closed June 25 to early 27 for major refurbishment.
We didn't have time to visit the other attractions near the zoo, or the many excellent museums. In past visits we have also enjoyed Boat and Clarke Quay. Will have to go back! Most places easily reached by the MRT - just check in and out with your bank card. N.B. Don't change much money. Most places only want credit card or e-pay.

Singapore has many amazing attractions - museums, gardens, parks. It is easy to navigate and clean. As a solo woman traveller, you feel very safe. Be prepared for the heat, particularly around 12 - 3pm. There are many air conditioned options though.

Our review is a short one.
Our review is a short one. We had a 30-hour layover before our flight back home.
The public transport was amazing, and we wish for the same at home.
We took long walks and loved it. Of course, we would have loved to do the Hop-on-Hop-off bus, however our exchange rate just made it too expensive. On a longer stay, which we certainly will be saving up for, it will be more economically to do paid excursions.
We did find Singapore more expensive that other places we visited, again our exchange rate has a lot to do with this comment.

I've avoided Singapore because I thought it would be just high rise buildings and a corporate business capital. Which part of it is, but there is so much more to it! I had to stopover in Singapore on my way back from Vietnam, so I thought I'd explore it for a few days. A few reasons why I loved Singapore:
1. You can pretty much walk everywhere, just wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to be distracted but many quirky interesting things along the way so leave yourself plenty of time to walk from A to B
2. The Gardens by the Bay are spectacular! It's a gorgeous light and sound experience that the internet says only happens twice a night but if you can stay until 9.45pm there's a bonus one (on the night I was there), with no kids and far less crowded.
3. The Art Science Museum is gorgeous, it's located within the Lotus like building and make sure you do the VR and all the exhibitions. Make sure you eat beforehand though cause the only cafe downstairs is limited and $$$$
4. You can do Singapore without breaking your budget if you stick to happy hours and smaller establishments outside of the main area. I didn't have enough time, but I heard Little India is well worth it
5. Yes, the famous roof top bar by that pool is worth it. There is an entry fee but you get a free drink with it so as long as you don't stay there buying drinks and just take in the view, it's not too expensive. Go on a week night! Less crowded.
Singapore surprised me, I am planing on going again with more time to explore further out from the centre. Hope you enjoy it!

After reading a few reviews for hotels in Singapore I was expecting a very expensive averaging hotel with poor service. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Rendezvous had helpful and friendly staff, a clean and comfortable room and a lovely shower. The location is great. The staff let us store our bags securely and use the pool shower before our midnight flight which was incredibly helpful. We opted to not have the breakfast option at the hotel due to bad reviews.
Super clean and big (particularly for budget hotels in Singapore) for the price! Feels almost brand new but I got a shock when the receptionist told me they have been operating for many years! Easily one of the best stays I have had while in Singapore for work.
One of the few hotels in Singapore that has Halal-certified restaurant. Excellent choice for travellers looking for Halal-certified food during their stay.
Hotel was at a good location. It was clean and well managed. Rooms were decent as compared to the size of other hotels in Singapore. Staff was friendly.
