There really is little of interest in Karon Beach .
There really is little of interest in Karon Beach . It is full of eastern europeans and the beach is filthy. The shopping is of low quality with no real interest regarding Thai handicrafts etc. Its all massage parlours and cheap reataurants all selling the same menu items. I wont return . Beach was great, good for families. lots of sunbeds and umbrellas - 100 baht for the day. Toilets were in an appalling condition. Lovely restaurant close to the beach - KIRI restaurant, good value. The beach itself was calm , peaceful and felt almost like a private beach. The main pool faces the beach, as do the restaurants. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, we stayed 5 nights and didn’t eat anywhere else! The staff was incredibly kid friendly and made our nine month old feel right at home.
