Great beach but full of plastic debris which is really sad. Plastic washed up on sand and in the water. We were not there in peak so hate to see it when it is crowded. It has changed so much in the last 4 years.
It has changed so much in the last 4 years. The tourist demographic has altered dramatically and the legalization of cannabis has not been a good thing (in my opinion). There are more door shops than restaurants and nearly impossible to enjoy a meal without cannabis smoke wafting through the place. Patong Beach itself is beautiful, recommend hiring a sun lounger and watching the world go by with a cold drink. The area it is in, including Bangla Road and the entire beachfront strip is busy and a bit hectic, most of the time. There are some good restaurants if you know where to look but there are also incredibly noisy bars, loads of street touts and at night it can all be a bit overwhelming.Guest review bykarenc286Australia - Review score

Being situated on Kalim beach was ideal as being able to get halal food every evening from the night food stalls was a bonus. The atmosphere was awesome, and the hotel was comfortable clean and even just a short walk to Patong Beach itself. I will definitely go back to this hotel for my next stay in Phuket 😄. The best part was that the property is located right on the Patong beach where all of Phuket's action is. We walked a lot, Bangla street is just a 10 min walk away and so are all the popular restaurants and clubs.
