We loved the experience of staying in a boutique hotel - it truly felt like home after a few days! You leave your room and you reach the pool, the beach, and the restaurant in less than a minute. The rooms are comfy, clean, and nicely decorated. The pool is quite small, but serves the purpose. The location is ideal for a holiday by the sea, whereas all major day trips require at least a 75-minute drive from the hotel. On the other hand, Mnemba Island is just opposite the hotel. The staff are nice and always ready to offer a smile!

Panga Chumvi is a perfect place for relaxation.You can do morning or evening swimming. During the day, a reef walk and/or swimming pool. People are super kind and sweet. They took a great care of us. Lunch and dinner are amazing and not that expensive. We would love to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was perfectly organized and the staff was extremely kind, helpful and always ready to assist whenever needed. I truly felt at home. Our room had a stunning ocean view that made the experience even more special. I stayed at Infinity with my parents in May. Tomek and Malgo, and the whole team created a wonderful experience with us. The room was not huge, but the layout was carefully crafted to use the space efficiently. Plus there is a wonderful pool outside the room and a nice restaurant with sea view. During my stay, I unfortunately fell of a horse and injured myself. Tomek was really helpful in both helping me connecting with a clinic to get the care I need. The bed was also super comfortable and supportive to help me heal.(some hotel has horrible single bed mattress but Infinity used a mattress with great quality for the single bed in the triple room) At the end of my trip, when I need to find a driver to drive my family back in the my rental car, Tomek was kind enough to offer to drive us back himself. He shared many his insights on the island along the way and I would not have enjoyed my trip without him. I would highly recommend this place for people looking for both the quality of stay and reasonable budget in Zanzibar.

    The snorkeling was a true adventure, with well-protected marine life and crystal-clear water. Spotting the dolphins was an unexpected bonus! Visiting the sea turtle rehabilitation center and feeding them was a special experience.

    Matemwe beach was huge and totally uncrowded - some days we were lucky to see 10 - 20 people pass by! Loved the Massai beach hawkers - friendly and laid back happy to have their pictures taken - no hassle or relentless chasing - once told 'no' they respected our space. Recommend a day trip to Nungwi for a completely different vibe and fantastic sunset. Matemwe is somewhat isolated and if you want to get around you need to secure the number of a local taxi driver - always bargain hard beforehand. Most hotels organise trips/tours but at a premium.

    It was a quieter beach which was nice which also meant not too many people hassling you to buy things. Those that did were respectful. Beach is nice but the sea depth is very shallow most of the day so swimming wasn't the easiest and there was a lot of seaweed when we were there.

    It’s very quiet, very few non hotel restaurants, overpriced food everywhere, can’t swim in the sea unless you don’t mind knee deep water. There’s no town, or town centre outside the beach hotels, so a long stay would be challenging if you want more than just lounging by the hotel pool.

    Matemwe and its area is a quiet place where you can relax and enjoy the beach, the activities (snorkeling, swimming with dolphins) especially if you are a couple, because the village is not very full of enterteinments or night parties.

    The Location, The hotel it self and design plus the exterior is just beautiful. The most important was the staff...all levels from front desk to restaurant/kitchen...very professional and the hospitality is the best. What ever you request...they will make sure you get it...!

    Matemwe Beach must be one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar. You can walk for kilometers on beautiful white soft sand. The beach is fairly quiet so you are not disturbed by the "beachy boys" all the time. You look onto Mnemba Island and doing a snorkelling excursion there from Kiva is very easy and accessible. Being on the eastern side the sun rises are magnificent. Breakfasts and dinners were good at Kiva with staff happy to assist with any requests.

    It is located near a small village. the beach is in front of the hotel, it isn’t the best place to swim but it is the perfect place to see local life of the village people and the fish market. Great staff, very kind, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and very large. If you book the dinner, you can eat a dish (starter or main course) at lunch and the other at dinner. The food is very good! The room is very nice and big!

    This tranquil hotel fronting on to Matemwe beach is a perfect haven to relax and enjoy the delights of Zanzibar. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished with Zanzibari furniture and local fabrics. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly helpful and efficient. The owners are present and always at hand to assist, talk to their guests and make them feel welcomed to this beautiful Retreat.
