The hotel grounds are beautiful! Perfectly tucked away in its own little jungle with plenty of pool space. The beach itself is also beautiful with unique sea stacks, and there are plenty of chairs on a raised platform owned by the hotel. The rooms were well-appointed and comfortable enough and we loved the little lanai outside our room! The staff were also amazing! So accommodating and kind, not only did they clean our room every day, but they also came in during dinner and closed the curtains and opened the mosquito nets. The restaurant was great too and they had a decent-sized menu with good food, from sushi to local cuisine and burgers. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a few days!

We loved the experience of staying in a boutique hotel - it truly felt like home after a few days! You leave your room and you reach the pool, the beach, and the restaurant in less than a minute. The rooms are comfy, clean, and nicely decorated. The pool is quite small, but serves the purpose. The location is ideal for a holiday by the sea, whereas all major day trips require at least a 75-minute drive from the hotel. On the other hand, Mnemba Island is just opposite the hotel. The staff are nice and always ready to offer a smile!

Panga Chumvi is a perfect place for relaxation.You can do morning or evening swimming. During the day, a reef walk and/or swimming pool. People are super kind and sweet. They took a great care of us. Lunch and dinner are amazing and not that expensive. We would love to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was perfectly organized and the staff was extremely kind, helpful and always ready to assist whenever needed. I truly felt at home. Our room had a stunning ocean view that made the experience even more special. The resort is absolutely stunning. The pools are a great size, you can actually swim as well as dip. The rooms were lovely and cleaned everyday. The seafood in the restaurant was amazing, all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. They made everything so easy, booking tours giving advice of what to do on the island. I have never been to Africa, they made me feel safe. Well done Clove Island I would definitely stay again.

I stayed at Infinity with my parents in May. Tomek and Malgo, and the whole team created a wonderful experience with us. The room was not huge, but the layout was carefully crafted to use the space efficiently. Plus there is a wonderful pool outside the room and a nice restaurant with sea view. During my stay, I unfortunately fell of a horse and injured myself. Tomek was really helpful in both helping me connecting with a clinic to get the care I need. The bed was also super comfortable and supportive to help me heal.(some hotel has horrible single bed mattress but Infinity used a mattress with great quality for the single bed in the triple room) At the end of my trip, when I need to find a driver to drive my family back in the my rental car, Tomek was kind enough to offer to drive us back himself. He shared many his insights on the island along the way and I would not have enjoyed my trip without him. I would highly recommend this place for people looking for both the quality of stay and reasonable budget in Zanzibar.

    Matemwe beach was huge and totally uncrowded - some days we were lucky to see 10 - 20 people pass by! Loved the Massai beach hawkers - friendly and laid back happy to have their pictures taken - no hassle or relentless chasing - once told 'no' they respected our space. Recommend a day trip to Nungwi for a completely different vibe and fantastic sunset. Matemwe is somewhat isolated and if you want to get around you need to secure the number of a local taxi driver - always bargain hard beforehand. Most hotels organise trips/tours but at a premium.

    It was a quieter beach which was nice which also meant not...

    It was a quieter beach which was nice which also meant not too many people hassling you to buy things. Those that did were respectful. Beach is nice but the sea depth is very shallow most of the day so swimming wasn't the easiest and there was a lot of seaweed when we were there.

    It’s very quiet, very few non hotel restaurants, overpriced food everywhere, can’t swim in the sea unless you don’t mind knee deep water. There’s no town, or town centre outside the beach hotels, so a long stay would be challenging if you want more than just lounging by the hotel pool.

    Matemwe and its area is a quiet place where you can relax and enjoy the beach, the activities (snorkeling, swimming with dolphins) especially if you are a couple, because the village is not very full of enterteinments or night parties.

    The Location, The hotel it self and design plus the exterior is just beautiful. The most important was the staff...all levels from front desk to restaurant/kitchen...very professional and the hospitality is the best. What ever you request...they will make sure you get it...!

    Everything was just perfect here: the location, facilities, staff, super fresh (sea)food, atmosphere, the pool, the pergola shades with sunbeds, outside shower and (last but not least) the beach. Very quiet place too. Free wifi everywhere, towels for the sunbeds, drinks served at the pool, you name it. If we make it back to Zanzibar we will for sure come back here.

    The hotel is right next to the beach. You can clearly see the ocean view from the room. The facility, food, and service are the best among all the places during our stay here in Tanzania. Especially the food is absolutely AMAZING. We did a little cycling and enjoyed our time at the pool. Wish we could stayed there for longer!!! ><
