Breakfast was basic but OK. It was available from 6 am to 9 am. Yogurt machine was excellent. My only suggestion would be asking staff handling food to be extra careful about contamination. I saw the same person at the front desk dealing with door keys, touching the computer, wiping the tables and handling breakfast with the same pair of "disposable gloves". Gloves needed to be changed more often.
Offering free WiFi, this hotel offers on-site dining. An outdoor pool is located on site.

We liked everything — the location, comfort, and the breakfast, which was amazing and in a style we loved. However, breakfast should have included beverages in the hotel price. We were surprised to be charged $5 per cup of juice.

A really welcoming American small town. The alpine location is beautiful, there is lots to do in the area. It's a university town and benefits from this, has a good range of restaurants, bars and takeaways. It is also a working town and beyond the town centre has all the usual American food and shopping chains. I felt really comfortable throughout my visit and would be happy to return.

A young town full of NAU students.
A young town full of NAU students. This makes for a funky vibe in some of the shops and eateries. Main street is Route 66 parallel to the railroad track. Trains seem to run every half hour or so, speeding off toward the coast or inland. Downtown in a 10 block area, you can see historic buildings, get a variety of meals and enjoy street performers and impromptu craft displays. With a "rent-a-bike" you can get around even faster.
It is also the gateway to canyons, ancient ruins and wonderful natural sites.

The town is nice and pleasant overall, with beautiful sites all around. It worked out well as a spot to stay at night while exploring central and northern Arizona sites. The nightlife in April on the weekends was much more empty than I expected, even though there were so many bars but I suppose the colder weather is the reason.

Flagstaff is on "historic" Route 66.
Flagstaff is on "historic" Route 66. The many of the buildings were preserved that date to the "historic" period and now house really nice bars and restaurants. Even the old hotels were kept and look like they could be in a movie. Sedona is less than an hour away - the drive from Flagstaff to Sedona is gorgeous. There are a couple of National Parks that must be seen - Sunset Crater and Walnut Canyon - that are very near by. Wupatki Pueblo National Monument is 33 miles away and a must see. So Flagstaff itself is a great town to base multiple day trips from.

We were in town for only a short time but visited the Museum of Northern Arizona. The museum focus is on the indigenous peoples and natural history of the Colorado Plateau. This is an outstanding facility with fantastic displays and content. It is well worth a visit.

Flagstaff was great - one of the best cities we visited on our trip.
We went to the Lowell Observatory (a short drive from the city) and it was one of the best experiences of our trip.
Flagstaff as a 'dark sky city' is an example of how all cities should deal with light pollution.
Wish we could have spent more time there.
