Darlene grew up on the property of Red Horse Vineyard B&B and is bringing to life her parent's dream of opening a Bed and Breakfast. Her passion of the B&B is in honoring our military heroes and supporting strong families by offering affordable retreats and weddings. The motto "Life Simplified" comes from her experience of growing up on the farm with her parents and siblings. Everyone worked and played together and life seemed so simple then. She hopes to share this joy and treasure with others through their visits to Red Horse Vineyard B&B. Her father, Carl, is the vintner for the winery and actively participates in giving tours of the vineyard and telling the history of the house. Her mother has passed on but her memory, smile and laughter lives through every story and detail of the home. Her husband, Phil, is still serving the military through AAFES and helps out at the B&B as often as possible. Together, they have 3 daughters, 2 son-in-laws and 1 grandson. Her sister, Denise, helps with the B&B and her brother, Darrell, lives in Germany. Red Horse Vineyard B&B is the result of a family working, playing, and dreaming together. Conveniently located within 6 miles of downtown, museums, the zoo and bio park and not far from the historic petroglyphs, close to ABQ Studies and music and sports venues all makes Red Horse Vineyard easily accessible. However, being in the rural part of town, when one enters the private gates of Red Horse Vineyard they are transported to an escape where time stands still. Being a complete destination vacation offers guests many things to do besides relax! Trail rides, spa services on property, game room inside and several outside in warmer weather, surrounded by art subject and possibility to create ceramics or paintings or simply just "be"... come experience Red Horse Vineyard B&B! We are located in the tranquil, fertile farm land along the Rio Grande river in the South Valley of Albuquerque. Family roots run deep in the valley, originally home of the Tewa tribe.
