Personally not a huge fan of Daytona Beach. We had tickets to a concert on the property of the Hard Rock Hotel, so that's why we were there but we liked the hotel enough to come back. Maui Nix surf shop was just down the street, so we really enjoyed that.The Valet at Hotel and Food service was great. Friendly staff. Beautiful walks down to the pier, soft sandy upper beach and cool bike riding and car driving lower beach. The beach was very clean and good Life Guard coverage. There were some vendors on the beach with food trailers, beach loungers and umbrella rentals, also an E-Bike rental shop right up the street, across from our hotel (Days Inn Tropical Seas) was Pirates Cove mini golf, CVS and an excellent hard ice cream shop about 1/2 mile north on Atlantic Ave (we walked it was very nice). The beach is beautiful with lots to do with friends and family. We ventured to the Aquarium nice but a little pricey for it's size.
