The number of bergies or street people hanging at the SPAR and surrounding area for the size of town was disconcerting. Nearly had an incident regarding the snatch of a cell phone. Sedgefield is a hidden gem, often overlooked by visitors to the Garden Route. Most people only visit the popular markets on Saturdays, but do not know about the spectacular beaches or the stunning river mouth and estuary. The tranquility, beautiful views and sounds of the birds, sums up Sedgefield in our book. Plus the amazing sunrises and sunsets. The accommodation at Karios on the Lake was outstanding, extremely comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen made it a pleasure to do self-catering. Variety of accomodation, great beaches and numerous restuarants to suit all tastes. Also very quiet and relaxing town. Has an veryThe 3 markets on a Saturday morning are fantastic and easy to spend hours browing. There is always an interesting variety of vehicles for sale at Sedgefield Classic Cars, a must visit. The host provided a lot of information about the place, as well as information regarding things to do in the area. The view of the trees from the bathroom is beautiful. The house is very spacious and the sitting area upstairs provides a lovely place to relax and read. Due to the weather we were unable to enjoy the deck.
