Gulupa Ecolodge is such a relaxing and calming place. Surrounded by nature, it’s quiet, you hear and see a lot of birds. The whole place has such a good energy, I just wanted to stay for 1 night, but extended for another night. The staff is super friendly, the facilities are clean. I really like the whole setting of the lodge (many hammocks, chill areas, yoga mats you can borrow…). A big plus for me was that there are many hiking trails around it and after a hike you can enjoy the hot tub! :) I would 100% recommend this place!

Everything. Ana María and the staff were wonderful from the get go. Attentive, kind, just over beautiful human beings. The hotel itself is fully sustainable which is awesome. The quality of the food, bedding, towels is top notch and sourced locally. They have all sorts of books for those of us who enjoy reading. It's the perfect place to retreat. Jardin is a beautiful area, however, if you're feeling burned out or just need to retreat for a quiet life, this is your place. I'd recommend staying at least 3 days, it really is an amazing place to rest. The beds are super comfy, rain shower is glorious, the room was beautiful and spacious... There really isn't anything I didn't like. Ps. Their banana bread is crazy good as well as their special fries and coffee.

Amazing location on the edge of town with great views across the valley but only 5 minute walk to the plaza. Loved the animals and the hot tub was a nice bonus. Stayed with family if 4 in a double room and the grandparents in the adjacent room.
