Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around. Slightly off the beaten track with not too many foreign tourists there, particularly in February. Speaking a little Spanish is useful. Would definitely recommend.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city.
Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city. The museum is very well set out starting with paleotonic times and there is no charge to go in.
I also loved the Arab museum - only a relatively small building but with some many distinct rooms and full of the everyday things that were used. A real house, not just a made to look like one.
Good ‘menu’ at the Colon Kiosk that’s around from the hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Beautifully clean, lovely helpful staff
Great food. Will be re booking to go back.
Room was excellent had plenty room for two small dogs, they left out dog beds and bowls
Comfy big bed, lovely shower room.

Caceres was a highlight of a monthlong trip through Portugal and Andalucia. I would like to have spent three or four days there. There's a wonderful modern art museum in the Old City area. Do not miss a romantic nighttime stroll.

Caceres is a must-visit jewel in Spain's repertoire of fabulous historic places to visit. So many places to see but all in walking distance of the parador - Plaza de la Concepcion, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Maria and the cathedral, Torre do los Pozos, the water cisterns and the Torre de Bujaco. All are wonderful sights to visit. Very easy to walk around and the Plaza Mayor has many restaurants and bars from which to choose where to eat.

Wow, what a place.
Wow, what a place. I got off the train and got a cab for 6 euros to the town. Although the old part of the town is stunning, there were not many tourists there during the day, so could photograph without crowds and go straight into places. Meals down side streets were tasty and good value at around 12 euros (including a glass of beer and a small desert). You pay more in the main Plazas, but would not say the food is better. The modern bit of the town has all the shops and is busy in the evenings. Bus station is a short taxi ride away and can get you to Merida, which is worth a visit for roman architecture. I was really struck about how kind and helpful local people were here, perhaps it was because I was on my own and not so young. Worth learning some Spanish to communicate a bit with people.
The hotel is a very cozy and nice to feel the authentic aspect of Caceres. All the details show beauty and fine taste. the breakfast was more than nice and the staff was very very friendly . I believe Carmen at the reception did a vey good job, she was so helpful, kind and gave us all the encessary information needed . Gema as well who was in contact with me before the departure was very helpful and very attentive to my requests .
The location of the Hotel is perfectly in the centre of the historical area.
Wonderful location in the center of Cáceres in a quiet street but 2 minutes away from Plaza Mayor. There are two excellent restaurants and a cafeteria just below the apartments. Very convenient to have breakfast in the morning and dinner after a full day of sightseeing. The apartments don't have parking but another hotel 5 minutes away offers parking for 10 euros a day to Baluart clients.
The apartment was spacious, comfortable, quiet and very luminous.
Highly recommended!!
Very central to Cáceres. The owner has thought of every need and was very attentive. It is a small basement apartment so no views overlooking the city but actually, in a hot city, it is brilliant for keeping cool and quiet when you are in it. It is in the centre of the old part of Caceres and its historic buildings. It is very close to Cáceres's vibrant town square which is also a lovely place to have breakfast. Parking available in hotel nearby.
Great hotel in tricky location. Their recommendation to park outside the old town and get taxi to hotel is bang on. Huge car park and 5 euros taxi fare with taxi rank 2 minute walk from car park. Hotel is beautiful, staff super friendly and helpful. Dining area is lovely for both breakfast and dinner, we loved the music very atmospheric. Caceres is stunning, just walking around especially at night is a real joy.
Good access from the underground parking space to all floors via the elevator. Our room was a good size, very comfortable double bed. The breakfast was a quality continental style, and plenty of it. Access to the old town was leisurely 20 minutes walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel was spot on for our 2 nights in Caceres. Highly recommended.
We were extremely glad that we chose to stay here, it was recommended to us by friends, The staff on reception and in the restaurant were amazing nothing was to much trouble, Definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The room upgrade was fantastic, and we will definitely be booking again on our next trip to spain,Thanks to all the staff
The hotel is in the middle of the historical centre of the town and you can walk everywhere very easily. The staff are really friendly and breakfast is included, which is always helpful. Loved the atmospheric decor in the room!! And there is a lovely tea house within the hotel so you can come back for tea in the afternoon.
The place is just amazing, the view from the window, bakery downstairs, cafes, shops, places of interest evrything is all there, as well as all the equipment in the apartment, hot water in the shower, the interior- really really liked all this! Tbere are books about the town, the region and the whole Spain.
Fabulous property in Cáceres! The decor of the property is delightful, and the room was very spacious as well as the bathroom. It was only up one flight of stairs, so it was easy to access. The location is fantastic, only a 5 minute walk or so to the Plaza Mayor and the medieval city. Terrific!
We loved this hotel. It is located right in the centre but you can drive to it. They have wonderful staff and it’s great for traveling with your pet. We have stayed here before and will stay again. Thanks for making us feel so welcome
Excellent location if you are aware that hotel is not sccessible by car, parking 200m appart but still ok to use. Access convinient event outside reception hours. Room was really stylish, fresh, clean and well equiped.
It was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our entire trip. And we were pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood. If possible we would love to return here and spend more time. Our stay was too short!
Lots of great options for food nearby, we traveled in the off-season and somethings were not open when google said they were, but this has been a common issue everywhere we traveled in Spain.
Really cute apartment in the center of Caceres. Seems brand new, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and nice patio. Easy checking. We enjoyed our stay.
The location was amazing, a few metres from the Plaza Mayor and historic area of Caceres. The food at the hotel was excellent. I would recommend the dinner.
Lovely hotel in an excellent central location. Hotel style, decor, room size, and restaurant we all first class. We were made very welcome with our dog too.
Beautiful hotel in the medieval city! Everything in the room was clean and crisp! Many complimentary toiletries! Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful!
