A fine example of medieval Irish castle, though in ruins.

A fine example of medieval Irish castle, though in ruins. The chapel is especially worth a look. And the Sheela-na-gig is located on the corner of the outside wall of the old rectory, which is now the museum. You have to look over the retaining wall to one side of the rectory to see it.

Seems cliche to recommend a "tourist attraction", but this is truly an experience. Living history from a thousand years ago and imagining life at that time is truly fascinating. And seeing the Ireland countryside on the journey is a bonus.

    Enjoy!

Enjoy! Take your time and learn the amazing history of this amazing place. It goes back hundreds of years and is talked about throughout Irish history. this is where several Irish kings lived and ruled. Walk around the trail located below the rock and enjoy a different point of view.

    What an amazing place.

What an amazing place. Much more extensive than we had expected. Well curated and well presented. Worth a second and third and maybe a fourth visit when the King Cormac Chapel restorations are completed. This is a vital piece in the jig saw of the history of Ireland.

Absolutely the BEST lodging of our entire Ireland vacation! Patrick, the host, is engaging, entertaining, and so very helpful. He helped us navigate to Killarney using public transportation, not an easy feat for us ! Wonderful location with a view of the Rock of Cashel. Beautiful room, upgraded bath, very clean. Located near downtown Cashel which is a lovely and quiet little town, a short walk from Rock of Cashel. Grounds are spacious and beautiful--wish we had more time to hang out. Lounge stocked with coffee/tea and snacks by owner was a nice touch. Feels more like a hotel than a B&B-both room and bathroom were huge!

This is a beautiful, well-maintained facility almost adjacent to both the Hore Abbey ruins and the Rock of Cashel. The owners are wonderful, and the property is very comfortable. There was a very nice playground for the grandchildren. I cannot imagine a better B&B.

Location in Cashel was great. We were in the middle of the town and it is a nice, short walk to the Rock of Cashel. Parking in the area is readily available and either free or inexpensive. The apartment itself is large and spacious. Kevin was helpful and responsive.
