The location is excellent. Close to Plaka and all the main tourist attractions. The rooms are well soundproofed, so it was nice and quiet at night. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever tried at a hotel, and the pillow menu was a great bonus: you can choose from different types of pillows, and the ones we picked (firm and soft) were perfect. The rooftop restaurant has a great view of the Acropolis, which makes breakfast feel special. There was a good variety of breakfast options, and everything suited our taste.
The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Before we arrived, they sent us links to tours they offer (with discounts). Definitely worth checking out, we really enjoyed the ones we chose. They also assist with transport bookings. If you're arriving by boat, I’d recommend booking your transfer through the site they suggest, the drivers follow the ferry schedules and are aware of delays, which made our arrival stress-free.
All in all, a romantic hotel with friendly staff, comfy rooms, and even a spa (which I didn’t get to try this time, but will next time I visit!).

Acropolis Museum
Athens is a city steeped in history, shaped by the people and empires that have called it their home. This relationship to the past can be seen and felt throughout the city, but the true scale and beauty of Greek antiquity is best appreciated at the Acropolis Museum. Standing beside the Parthenon itself, the museum's exhibits span thousands of years and document the story of the people of Athens through war, religion and daily life. From marvellous marbles to stunning statues, there's no better way to feel the true presence of the past.

The National Archaeological Museum is a must see for history buffs, with its impressive collection of ancient artifacts. The Acropolis Museum, located right at the foot of the Acropolis, offers a fascinating look at the ancient site’s history, with displays that range from sculptures to everyday objects used by ancient Athenians.

The museum is one of the most interesting on the way objects are displayed. You definitely need a minimum an audio guide which its free on the museum site i think. The view of the acropolis from the museum adds a magic touch. Buy tickets inside the museum

I suggest a visit to the Acropolis Museum before visiting...
I suggest a visit to the Acropolis Museum before visiting the Acropolis. Seeing the sculpture/artwork at eye level gives you a better sense of what was once there to inform your understanding of the structures on the Acropolis. The museum construction above archaeological structures is spectacular, with clear floors and walkways that allow you to see what is below and remind you that the Acropolis was surrounded by dense habitation. Although the exhibits are beautiful, Interpretation of the objects, the underlying structures and the Acropolis is sparse and/or inconsistent. I would have expected to learn more about where the objects were manufactured, by whom, who was living/working in the ruins below the musuem.
The museum has a pleasant cafe with spectacular views of the Acropolis from below. It also has a large quiet reading room that offered a much needed respite from the crowds, heat and sensory overload of Athens in July!

The museum is not to be missed!
The museum is not to be missed! Beautifully designed and so many artifacts to be in awe. Visit at an earlier hour to beat the crowds, don't forget to visit the excavation site of dwellings from the 4th/5th century located below the museum. There are no signs that this area is open for a walk through. When we visited, it seemed as if it was not open to the public, but luckily our curiosity took over and we decided to walk down for a quick look. To our surprise, it was indeed open and we were able to use our museum tickets to enter the archaeological site.

buy your ticket on line before you go.
buy your ticket on line before you go. I spent at least 45 min in the first entry room alone! incredible museum! just jaw dropping. It is a relatively new structure and houses it's collection beautifully. I went at the opening time and it was packed by the time I left. Consider that.

Don’t skip this.
Don’t skip this. It’s essential to understanding the stuff you see at the top of the Acropolis. Get a tour that includes both the Acropolis and the museum. You’ll save time by visiting just the essentials and not waste time, and avoid crowds and get the best stories.

Absolutely perfect location across from the Acropolis Museum and also Akropolis metro too which was very convenient. A large apartment with a good sized kitchen. Separate bedrooms and a TV room.
There is not much to criticize, if anything at all ... The apartment itself doesn't have much character, or a soul, it's a bit sterile.. But having said that, it was clean and comfortable and in an excellent location .. close to Hadrian's Arch and the Acropolis Museum and Acropolis itself .... and the kitchen facilities were fine, though there was no rack for dishes and no stove, but an electric hot plate, which I never used. the bed was excellent and the bathroom very good.
I forgot to take pictures but the photos of the apartment are accurate with what is on website. Beds super comfy. Had a power outage in building, owner responded to me within minutes until rectified. This was also 1030 at night. Very clean. Had basics for coffee/tea in the am. Great couple of pedestrian streets one block away for bakery, meals, taverns. About 15 minute walk to Acropolis Museum.
This place is an absolute gem, ideally situated right in the vibrant heart of Athens! You'll have fantastic access to must-see attractions like the iconic Acropolis, the charming Old Town Monastiraki, and the picturesque Plaka. Plus, you're just a stone's throw away from incredible museums, including the remarkable Acropolis Museum! The area is buzzing with shops offering delicious food and an energetic atmosphere.
The apartment was very fresh and clean with modern amenities. The service and staff were amazing and could not do enough for us to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location was fantastic as the walk to the acropolis, the Acropolis museum or the plaka was only about 15 mins from the apartment. Views from the rooftop terrace in the evenings was magical and added authenticity to the stay as we could hear the local Athens residents around us, which you will not get in a hotel.
Central location just 2 min walk from Acropolis museum and acropolis. There are loads of restaurants nearby and a sumptuous breakfast at Smile in the ground floor of the apartment block. The underground train station is next to the museum so again it’s just 2 mins away. Apartment was modern and well decorated. Bed and pillows were super comfy. We had a balcony with a view to the acropolis which was also great.
Attention to detail, excellent facilities and location. The apartment is close to the Acropolis Museum and Acropolis. George had thought of everything and was very generous with providing a truly wonderful stay. He met us at the apartment and showed us where everything was. The apartment was spotlessly clean.
Location is great. Near the Metro. 5 minutes to the acropolis museum. Few minutes walk to Plaka.
Many bars and restaurants around.
The best neighborhood.
Apartment is big. Clean. Easy to do check in.
The apartment is in a great location—just a 5-minute walk to the metro station and 10 minutes to the Acropolis Museum. Koukaki is a lovely neighborhood full of boutiques, cafes, bars, and restaurants. This was our second time in Athens, so we didn’t hesitate to spend time exploring the area. The apartment felt like a real home and had everything we needed.
Airy apartment 5 minutes’ walk from the Acropolis museum and there are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and takeaways as well as medium sized food shop nearby. Host very friendly and helpful and responded to questions very quickly and offered tips on what to do.
