The location is 2 blocks away from the beach but it is also 5 miles from the historical center/ downtown. It takes about 20 minutes in a cab to get downtown. This was my first time in Porto traveling alone so I wanted to be closer to the “action”. It was my bad for not following up a recommendations from a husband of an employee that worked there who I met in the airport. I spent most of my time away from the hotel because I was in the historic and downtown area. I did walk the 5 miles into the historic area along the bay and that was wonderful. Lastly the location is in a residential area and next to a children’s school.
