San Simeon has to be one of my favourite stops along the California HWY1 Coast Drive. Hearst Castle is a must, but also, the Sea Lions at Seal Point are also part of the main attraction of this sleepy seaside jewel in the crown of California.

Beautiful and well worth the trip and money. took 2 of the tours. the guides were great and very knowledgeable. But please wear your best walking shoes as the stairs and walking (about which they warn you.) Especially stairs into the upper chambers.

It’s beautiful !
It’s beautiful ! I was honored to have explored & experienced Hearst Castle! So peaceful & incredible naturalistic views! The history & story is memorable ! I can come back & take more pictures & discover more! There’s so much to see! I would just make sure I bring very very comfortable shoes & water. Lots of pathways & places to walk and stairs to climb. The pool is so relaxing & mesmerizing !
