The breakfast was great, and the dinners were excellent. My guests really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel design and decor were unusual and very attractive.

The swimming pool was really cool. It was the perfect way to end the day. Thank you to all the staff for their excellent hospitality. The historical photographs on the walls were also a great touch!

An absolute delight and a step back in time. A beautiful, well maintained hotel that takes you to a bygone era. Just a pity that we were the only people there for our first night and another couple of people there the 2nd night. Would be fabulous to see the hotel bustling with people.

What a gem (pun intended, given the diamond history)!! Beautiful, grand old clubhouse that now cheerfully welcomes visitors of all types. If you (like me) appreciate history, this has it in spades as well as being a comfortable room with a lovely breakfast. If you’re visiting the Big Hole nearby, this is also the ideal compliment, as the club was built together with the buildup of Kimberley’s diamond industry. Highly recommended !!

Absolutely loved staying here. We got such a surprise that we were actually staying right on the same property as The Big Hole. We loved that we were a part of the whole atmosphere and experience. Loved that we could open the door and be a part of what it could have felt like to be living back in those times and walk those mining streets and feel the atmosphere of an old mining town. The whole place completely outdid our expectations and we were very very happy with our stay.

Such a fun experience to stay right in an old mining town right at the entrance to the Big Hole. The rooms were large and the pub/ restaurant was just a few metres around the corner. Our kids loved it.

Excellent location next to the Big Hole - which is so worth going to see and doing the tour. Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Great value for money, both the room and bathroom were great. Beautiful decor in the hotel of the history!

The location was very central, and situation on the ridge of the big hole in Kimberley (you can walk to the tour office for the tickets to view this historic site). The facilities were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
