High Leys Lodge is located 32 km from Fiordland National Park in Te Anau, while Fiordland Cinema, Te Anau Glow Worm Caves and Lake2Lake cycle trail are all reachable within 4.3 km.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy a gourmet breakfast.

On our 6 weeks NZL Trip High Leys Lodge will loom large as the best place we were lucky enough to stay in. And we stayed in some wonderful places! The location, facilities and provisions were second to none. To top it off, the welcome and service from Sarah was next level. We felt that she knew all our wishes before !could be our best mate... ! TeAnau itself is a stunning location - and sadly, we only had three nights there - but it was the hospitality of John and Sarah that has made us resolute that we will return... even though we are from Germany a good nearly 24 hours away via a couple of flights and a drive! But this place is that special to come back - just because I totally forgot to tune the guitar 🎸

Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting. Nice, comfortable rooms, very atmospheric common spaces with big fireplace. Amazing, friendly staff. Very good food in the onsite restaurant.

Located in Te Anau in the Southland region and Te Anau Glow Worm Caves reachable within 400 metres, Kea by the Lake provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a shared lounge and free private parking.

The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. There is also a kitchenette in some of the units equipped with a fridge and a microwave.

It's a great place to stay. Everything is very clean and the bathroom is bigger than in my own house. Parking is easy and shops/restaurants are at a walking distance. I decided to stay longer to enjoy my holidays.

Our cabin was in a simply stunning location, surrounded by a deer farm and with gorgeous views across to the mountains. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and very well organised and just a short walk to the main lodge with its well equipped kitchen and comfortable dining/lounge area.

Gorgeous views, free parking, big comfortable room and bathroom with enough airflow to offset no fan or AC. Lovely lodge/"barn" which is a comfortable area including enough dining space to accommodate guests, kitchen, and lovely views of the mountains.

Our room was perfect, and a bonus was access to a wonderful living area. Sarah and John are excellent hosts, very friendly and down to earth. The view from our room was simply stunning. Our breakfast choices and quality and surroundings were also perfect. We would thoroughly recommend High Leys Lodge to anybody, unreservedly.

Book the train carriage on the grounds of the lodge. An unique experience in your own retired coverted train carriage. Classic setup inside, including a record player with old skool vinyl and bath! Entertaining host and interesting surroundings, very cool.

Most interesting history of the lodge - a convent transported from Nightcaps in 4 pieces. Beautifully restored and filled with lots of convent-type pieces. Chapel (lodge dining room) especially beautiful. Huge garden with fun things for little or big children. Particularly helpful owner about Te Anau and Fiordland area. Great breakfast. Felt spoilt eg help yourself to cake or wine, toffees beside bed...

This is an amazing lodge - like something from the movies. It sits beautifully on a hill overlooking the lake and mountains. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. The main part of the lodge has a big open fire that you can sit next to and have a wine and the food in the restaurant was delicious. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were amazing. Very kind and helpful. We absolutely loved it!
