We really liked that there was a shared kitchen, which made making our sandwiches for our hike a lot easier! The room was pretty large, nice to be able to spread out a bit. Yeah its a little older but the bedding and towels were clean and fresh and very comfy. It had everything we needed for a 5 night stay We enjoyed the bonus of having hot mineral pools on the property. It was a great place to relax and to return to after a wonderful day enjoying hikes and the beautiful Tongariro and Lake Taupo area. We loved the calm village atmosphere and were happy to be tucked away among the refreshing natural beautiful trees and hot springs.
