Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. A garden is featured. The staff provided exceptional guidance so that we could take stunning views of the mountains during sunset. Very high quality breakfast. Overall, exceeded my expectations in this rather remote/resource limited (to a city person at least) location.

Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking, skiing and billiards. Unbeknown to the host our Whanau live directly across the road so to find this gem was perfect will definitely come back

Ruapehu Country Lodge is situated alongside Waimarino Golf Course, and is just a 5-minute drive from Ohakune's town centre. Wanganui Airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes' drive away. The breakfast is super nice! Various choices and all of them tastes so good. The hosts are very friendly and kind, makes us feel like a home. We arrived late and they are so caring, helped us with food and heater etc. The animals are so adorable, and the garden is pretty - suitable for a morning walk. Really appreciate Bernie & Marie's hosting! We had a nice stay and hope we can go back and meet you guys soon. :)

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. A daily, shuttle service is available hourly from 6:00 until 9:00 to the Tongariro Crossing & National park. Free parking is available. It was warm, clean, nice and cosy! The room was clean and pleasantly warm - much appreachated at that time! Shared space was very nice, well-organised. Always smiling lady gave us good advice what to see despite not very good weather-thank you :)

Pipers Lodge Accommodation is a 10-minute walk from National Park Train Station. Turangi is 41km away. Everything is Good and comfy the staff’s their are so friendly and they will assist you right away, they also have free breakfast and also hot coffee and chocolate

The nearest airport is Taupo Airport, 98 km from the lodge. I found it an amazing property! It's like a little house. I very much enjoyed the stay. The covered deck and the bush were really good.

Ohakune is 27 km from the lodge, while Whakapapa Village is 12 km from the property. The nearest airport is Taupo Airport, 76 km from Alpine Chalets. Perfect location within the National Park, best view of the volcanos (weather dependent) and a very, very kind host.

Featuring amazing views of Mt Ruapehu, 2 hot tubs and a restaurant with a large deck area, Kings Ohakune is 2 minutes’ walk from Ohakune Station and 3 minutes' walk from the start of the Ohakune Mountain Road. Perfect location. Clean and tidy rooms. Nice and warm. The heater was already on for our arrival. Everything you need for a nice stay. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Couldn't of asked for anything more!! The spa pools were fantastic!!

The lodge offers a range of accommodation options, including standard rooms with shared bathrooms, deluxe rooms with private bathroom facilities and self-contained rooms. Been waiting for quite a while for check-in which was frustrating. The room is comfortable with unexpectedly larger than i thought which is a bonus. Shower with good water pressure.
