I came to Łodz to visit my friend and had never been before despite living and working in Gdansk. The city is amazingly sparse with character everywhere and always something to do. I would love to live there as the city is constantly developing and is amazingly connected.

I think it is a 4 /5 day trip. We were there a week maybe a couple
of days too many so we had a day in Warsaw which is easy on the
train from Lodz.

A less visited Polish city and all the better for that.
A less visited Polish city and all the better for that. Museum of Lodz worth a visit, situated in Poznanski Palace. Herbst Palace is a must see also, as is the Museum of the Factory in the Manufaktura complex.Jewish cemetery is worth a look also .Very moving.Do give the Ethnographical Museum a skip as it consists of just one room and shows nothing of the life of the people of the area in former times.People are friendly and very helpful everywhere .Public transport is like everywhere in Polish cities: excellent. For dining out try Mare e Monti if you like Italian food .If you prefer a more traditionally Polish dining experience Soplicowo in Ul. Wigury is excellent.

Łódź is an interesting city.
Łódź is an interesting city. It's shows the history through its architecture, Polish, German and Jewish residents have all left their mark in the city. It was known for its large factories and villas. The buildings are much different than the rest of Poland and the Piotrkowska street is the largest shopping street in Poland and one of the largest on Europe. Manufactura is very cool and worth a visit. You can see they're putting a lot of effort into building up the city. It is known for its film school, lots of film students and actors.

Bring appropriate clothing and footwear as a good place to explore on foot.

The apartment was in a poor condition.
The apartment was in a poor condition.
It smelt, dirty, dead flies, broken blinds, broken lights.
We also requested for 5 beds but only gave one double bed so 3 of us had to sleep on the sofa bed which made it difficult as some wanted to sleep and the others dodnt.
I’ve spoken to booking.com who spoken to the apartment and they agreed fault but when
I called the apartment and they gave me verbal abuse along with racial abuse.
We also got flea bites from the sofa ends.
DO NOT USE.

Extremely spacious rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable beds and welcome bottle of Prosecco in room.
The highlight of this hotel is their in-house Bar. The bartender’s name is Evo and not gonna lie, he makes the best cocktails in Lodz. A special appreciation for Evo and his world class service.
we stayed here for just one night on our way to south of Poland. the room was fabulous: gorgeous & spacious suite in an outstanding, historical place brought back to life in a new form. the most amazing swimming pool!
Beautifully and quirkily decorated hotel, with spacious and comfortable rooms at the fantastic location of the middle of the Piotrkowska street. Friendly and helpful staff who speak great English.
Apartment is small, but clean and tidy. Can’t get anything better for 60 eur per night in Poland. Additionally, there is free parking space behind the building which is big benefit.
