In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Excellent location. Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Comfortable, clean, great location! Wonderful breakfast and host!

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. The dinner was excellent too. Great location for walkers. You can start a lot of walks direct from the Hotel. (e.g. Skiddaw)

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. The included breakfast was incredible! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. The room is full of character, aesthetically pleasing and very thoughtfully arranged. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We would definitely visit again.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Ambleside Fell Rooms is situated in Ambleside, 16 km from Lake Windermere and 29 km from Derwentwater Lake. The property was lovely and very comfortable. It was conveniently located. The staff were helpful and warm.

1 West End Boutique Apartment is located in Bowness-on-Windermere, 42 km from Askham Hall, 42 km from Muncaster Castle, as well as 49 km from Trough of Bowland. The host is really friendly and helpful. It was very clean and overall cosy. Directly in the middle of Bowness. Would recommend staying here any time. We're definitely coming back here. :)

Located in Windermere, 2 km from World of Beatrix Potter and 36 km from Derwentwater Lake, High Street Apartment provides accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. Beautifully designed and clean, everything we needed was there it was perfect. The Apartment is really cosy and spacious.
