Spa is excellent as well. The resort is spread out among several connected buildings but very quiet at night...but we were in the Alpensee rooms and they were pretty far from most of the common areas..except the spa. The staff were very helpful in providing information on walks nearby and how to get the on the day Neuschwanstein castle tour tickets.

The hotel itself is amazing, has a great luxury spa feel. The surroundings are magical, the mountains, lake and castles.

It is a big resort so numerous rooms and numerous people. Breakfast buffet was good. There is also a bar and restaurant at the hotel; quite convenient. The spa and hotel staff were all very attentive. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel both days and the food was fantastic! The breakfast spread had everything you could want. Spectacular location and excellent view from top floor windows. The old hotel (Jagerhaus) is a seperate building to the newer part of the hotel that houses the Alpsee resort facilities, which is fine as it is a 20 metre walk.
