The breakfast buffet was huge and dinner in the restaurant was delicious. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic - they organised tours for me to the castles in Gondar, hiking in the Simien Mountains, and even a very early bus to My Tsebri. I highly recommend Haile Resort!

The bathrooms have their own hot water heaters. Every room has a view of the surrounding mountains. The beds are super comfy! You feel at peace at this resort. The resort is tucked away on the mountain from the hustle and bustle of Gonder. The staff are very helpful. Most don't speak English (fluently) but they work hard to understand and accommodate. Our stay was too short and I hope to return again very soon!

- 9.0Scored 9.0SuperbRated superb· 33 reviewsThe view is breathtaking and the resort feels like a small ancient village overlooking the valley with huge, comfy, gorgeous rooms. With COVID and the conflict going on, we were the only tourists there which is such a shame :( this also meant that quite a few of the amenities weren't working (pool, sauna...) But we felt that was quite normal. In full swing this place must be amazing:)
