In the centre of Dorchester, The Casterbridge provides comfortable accommodation a 20-minute drive from Weymouth coast. Hardy’s Cottage, where Thomas Hardy was born, is less than 3 miles from the building.

Noorani was an excellent host and she went out of the way to make my stay pleasant and comfortable. Great location bonus to have free parking in town center and fabulous breakfast .

In a perfect location for the tank museum. Really clear instructions with how to access our apartment. Beautiful setting. Lovely decor. Comfy bed. The robes provided were a luxury addition. Breakfast basket delivery was the cutest touch. Great selection of foods. Made full use of the kettle and water machine. Bathroom was huge and loved the large powerful shower. Great having a hairdryer in the room. We enjoyed our chat with one of the hosts Martin and meeting their dog and chickens :)

Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Lots of little extra touches in the room including mini bar, bed was amazing, super comfortable for my osteo issues and really appreciated the choices of pillows. Slept like a dream. Loved the rainforest shower - blissful after a wet walk along with the luxury beauty products and soft bath sheets. All the extra touches considered and provided to a high standard.

Beautiful peaceful location with some lovely walks directly from the cottage and a short drive to the coast and many places of interest. The owner came to meet me in person which added a lovely personal touch and lives next door which was a great comfort. The cottage is warm and beautifully set up with a touch of luxury and impeccably clean. The added bonus of a wood burner made it especially cozy in the evening.

So love everything about the place. The welcome the friendliness. And room with a balcony from which we could enjoy the superb views. The quality of room was exceptional in all ways. Breakfast was excellent and the quality of service was on par with what I would expect of a luxury hotel. We were so relaxed.

Perfect location in a characterful & quirky house. Lovely room with four windows, which was perfect to enjoy the morning view whilst having the luxury of breakfast in a very comfortable bed. What a novelty not to have to rush down to breakfast. The bathroom has a big walk-in shower and room to keep toiletries. Soft towels are an added bonus. Robyne is very accommodating and nothing seems to be too much trouble. A really nice stay.

Beautiful building with a lovely atmosphere. Conveniently located and parking round the back of the hotel was a real bonus. Stunning room (King’s Suite/Epic room), which felt like a real luxury! The little extra touches made it feel special too. The food at the hotel was delicious and amazing quality and we thought it was fantastic value for money. The staff were lovely and very friendly. Very clean and beautifully decorated throughout
