Easy communication with a perfect host, welcome message, milk & luxury biscuits on arrival a nice touch. Great location, only a couple of mins walk from the city walls and pub a couple of streets down. What more can you ask for, would definitely stay again and will be recommending to family & friends.

From the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome and looked after. The staff truly make this 5* hotel! A wonderful nights sleep, full of luxury and a real treat for my partners birthday. We also ate in The Rise for dinner and had the most exceptional breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel (the choice is amazing!)

The location is perfect, short stroll into the city centre but far enough away for a peaceful setting. Each room is unique and beautifully set out, adding that luxury feel.The staff are always friendly and welcoming and are happy to help anytime of day or night when required.This has become our favourite place for a mini break and would highly reccomend.

Not too far from York and good restaurant on site and in Pocklington too, there us a good choice of places to eat. Pet friendly and a great place to walk the dogs. Bakers Lodge was a comfortable place to stay, spotlessly clean, warm and great WiFi. My go to place in York now.
