We found it easy to walk to the Piazza dei Miracoli & Pisa railway station (each took us about 20 mins). You can visit a variety of other places from the station - we had a day in Lucca. The accommodation, although not luxury, was comfortable & well equipped & suited us fine. There are some good restaurants very near by. The host was pleasant & helpful.

The staff were very friendly, the place was clean and lovely. The location was perfect for what I wanted to do there (about a 20 min walk to the Tower of Pisa and close to restaurants and the bus station). The only reason I would not say it's a 10 is if you're looking for a luxury hotel. It was truly lovely- just know that you're not getting a 5 star hotel.
