Herzlichkeit von A bis Z Dany und Guy und Personal waren so zuvorkommend. Grosses Kompliment an die Führung der Lodge. Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll alles ist sehr sauber. Ein wunderbares Frühstück, stilvoll arrangiert, wunderbarer Kaffee mit schönem Geschirr serviert. Einfach perfekt. Das gemeinsame Abendessen mit allen Gästen zusammen war jeden Abend ein Erlebnis. Guy und der Küchenstaff haben uns verwöhnt. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Wir können diese Lodge sehr empfehlen.

We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C).

I absolutely loved staying at Residencial Lela d’Fermina and next time I’m back in Santo Antão this is the place I’ll stay at, no doubt. The owner, Mr Antonio, is a gem of a person, and the whole staff was really nice and kind. The room was spacious and had everything I needed — I’d probably just add a kettle. The restaurant across the road was also such a lovely experience, the view is amazing, the owner is so kind, and the food is delicious and so cheap. After the craziness of Mindelo I really appreciated the opportunity to rest at this peaceful place, surrounded by mountains, and chilling by the pool. Antonio is really knowledgeable about the surrounding area and he made sure I was taken care of the entirety of my stay. Muito obrigado, Sr António! We loved the location, as we were able to do two excellent hikes. (One from the hotel, Boca de Figueiral to Cha de Padre Cima, which we highly recommend. We also hiked to the crater. ) The restaurant was wonderful, we enjoyed the. vegan offerings on several nights. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The staff were exceptional, answering every question and assisting with any requests. We highly recommend this hotel.

It’s inspiring to see his commitment to the community. Note: It is a scenic 10–15 minute walk from the main road to the hotel.
