I depend heavily on reviews and so I read a lot of the reviews on here before deciding to go with this option. A kitchenette is also available in this studio type room equipped with all the essentials like a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, induction burner, oven, plates and pans. If you like to cook your own meals, then this location will be great for you. The bathroom was spotless and I am kind of a germophobe. Location was close to the bus stop and train station with restaurants nearby and a laundromat opposite it. We enjoyed our short stay and we will definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

ALL of the hotel was at 10/10. All the rooms were exactly as displayed - very stylish and high-quality. The stuff was without exception, helpful, friendly and very service oriented. The pool was heated and therefore a pleasure to visit. Breakfast has a big variety and everything was fresh and tasty. We loved every second of our stay at Renaissance Porto Lapa hotel.

Porto is a great walking city if you don't mind a few hills...

Porto is a great walking city if you don't mind a few hills here and there and be mindful of the slippery cobbled streets. Good public transport and lots of possibilities for trips out for the day, if the city centre gets too busy and hot. Lots of fantastic food options everywhere and a trip to some of the winerys will not disappoint, especially if you enjoy lunch there too. A long stroll along the Douro river and you can explore the fishing villages and vibrant culture of this beautiful part of Portugal. For those who enjoy listening to Fado , there are a number of Fado houses and it is wonderful that this unique form of music remains part of the beating heart of the city.

Absolutely beautiful city and surrounding areas. Also spent 1 week in Cascais——-beautiful beaches and restaurants . Most importantly, lovely people!!! A tour to the Douro Valley is a must if you have time Pictures below

The time out market which has some great food choices next...

The time out market which has some great food choices next to the station is much better than lisbon. Bolhao market is also great for Portuguese gifts and souvenirs but also food as well as food stalls and wine. The top of the city - around Rua de Cedofeita is up and coming and worth a look

The history of Porto was great. The tours were good.

The history of Porto was great. The tours were good. The extreme heat advisory kept us from going on hiking trails. The Duro River wine tour was very good. All in all, the people are friendly and the atmosphere is safe. The city is clean and busy.

We love Oporto and come here often.

We love Oporto and come here often. The highlight is always the river and it's lovely to walk along the promenade and see all the little shops and stalls. Beware of eating in many of the riverside restaurants as they can be expensive compared to the ones in the city centre. The best shopping is on the rua de Flores or Rua de Santa Catalina in the city centre. Be prepared for hills.....Oporto is very hilly and most of the apartments have steep stairs and no lifts due to listed building status

Porto is a great place for a city break.

Porto is a great place for a city break. It has a good mix of history, culture, shops & good food. I felt the people are more friendly than Lisbon & that Porto has not suffered from an influx of foreign developers (which I have been told has had a detrimental affect on Lisbon)

The hotel is pretty nice and at a very nice location on a pedestrian-only street. The room was of a good size and nicely decorated. As with many hotels in Portugal, there is not enough space for clotes but that was maybe the only semi-negative thing (again, that situation sems to be very common at the price range). Personel at the reception were extremely nice and very helpful, that was denfinitely outstanding. Even though it's on a very popular street the hotel is very quiet at night. We would definitely go back to this hotel.

Wow! This apartment was even better in reality. It’s central. During the night you will have a beautiful view on the shining camara municipal of Porto, which is one of the most beautiful buildings in the entire city. the breakfast was rich, 100% punctual and had more than we could wish for. The apartment was clean, the AC worked perfectly fine. Overall it was our best experience in Portugal! Huge compliment to the owner. This is Service! 10/10 recommend. We‘d come back any time.

Thoughtful design, beautiful details, and a very serene atmosphere. Portugal is a city that is rebuilding itself. This small hotel located in the hustle and bustle of the city allows you to experience the city both day and night. It infects you with the energy of the locals and adds a surreal touch to your trip and selfies. If you visit, when you go out at night, you can visit a small jazz club a few blocks away
