Graz is a great Town.
Graz is a great Town. Culture, Architecture, Museums, Parks etc. Beware of advertisements on Booking.com. Don't book Cozy apartments. One-Bedroom Apartment 2 nights · April 2025 Solo traveler Reviewed: April 5, 2025 Bad Scored 1.0 1.0 It seemed cheap. It cost a bit, but then it didn't offer anything at all. This "offer" is a FRAUD. There's a bar at this address, but no vacation rental or room. It's a SCAM. I don't like being scammed. There's a bar at this address, but no vacation rental or room. It's a SCAM. I enjoyed the area but it was hard to find information about ski schools or guides online. We had some beginners with us and they were unable to ski the icier slopes at the bottom of the hill. I would have signed up for a guide/instructor for them if I was able to get more information. Also need more non ski activities in the area. We went to the Dachstein Glacier area and it was stunning!Guest review bypuraviUnited States - Review score
Leoben is a small, pretty town.
Leoben is a small, pretty town. My hotel Gastof Zum Grief had a superb location, literally 2 minutes from the main square and right by the river. It’s easy to walk around Leoben which has many bars and restaurants in and off the main square. Lovely country walks by the river and also a shopping centre in the main square. I ate in San Marco, Trattoria Roma, Zum Greif, Stadt Meierei, and Schwarzer Adler - all very good.Guest review byBinda - Review score

Very beautiful place to spend a few days or even more than a week. Plenty things to do - hiking, spa relax, good restaurants, beautiful sceneries. In Bad Aussee there are several places to eat or buy groceries. Whithin a few minutes you reach a lake to swim or a beginning of a hiking path. Good position for visiting Hallstadt, Bad Ischl or Salzburg. If you want to have dinner in a restaurant it is good to make a reservation otherwise you may have a problem to get seats.Guest review byLenkaCzech Republic - Review score

Great place for cross-country skiing, walking around, enjyoing fresh air and views of the Ski amade reagion incl. magnificent Dachstein. A few places to eat, but worth it - DAS Rittis, Red Angus, Waldschenke and most probably suggested Peter Rosseger restaurant (not visited).Guest review byAliceCzech Republic - Review score

Nice area for skiing/snowboarding with many resorts nearby (with cross-used ski-passes). Children area on slopes, shops for food/drink, good restaurants on the slopes which makes it easy to have lunch/snack.Guest review byNNikonenkoUkraine - Review score
Very nice place to stay close to Graz.
Very nice place to stay close to Graz. Only negative aspect was one impolite staff member. My question in English regarding hot water for oatmeal was met with scorn and I was directed to the container which stated 'tee'. She then mocked my query to her colleague. I don't speak German well but I understand it perfectly. Her comments were just rude. Perhaps label the container Hot Water? Pity this spoiled what was otherwise a pleasant overnight stay. I still gave 9/10.Guest review bySoniaAustralia - Review score

I recommend the '6-Seen-Wanderung' tour on the Tauplitzalm to everyone. Beautiful! The braver ones can take a dip in the cool lakes. Nearby is Hallstadt's iconic lake with its church. Mozart's birthplace - Salzburg can also be discovered within easy reach. I recommend the sightseeing boat tour to everyone. In Bad Aussee, the salt bath of the Narzissen Vital Resort provides real refreshment. It is a very special experience to hide in the coolness of one of the salt mines in the heat. I also recommend the special library of Admont Benedictus Abbey. Also, for fathers with sons, the Lotus Museum in Bad Aussee.Guest review byGNAGYHungary - Review score

Styria is a very beautiful region of Austria and Graz as its capital is a real gem. I really like the leisure atmosphere of the city - part austrian, part slovenian, part italian. The cuisine is also very nice - I would recommend except of some austrian clasics like Wiener Schnitzel or Sacher torte, styrian specialties from pumpkin or pork meat and regional wines - they are excellent. Some recommendations - Kunsthaus café (friday / saturday evening), Der Steirer (lunch), Martin Auer bakery at Main square / Hauptplatz (breakfast), May Kay (snack / cheap lunch). Regarding the momuments in the city, I would recommend Uhrturm, Schlossberg museum and Landeszeughaus. The city surroundings also offer many opportunities like cable car to Schockl, Austrian open air museum of hiking in Bärenschutzklamm for the brave ones. If you like the exploring the city, I would recommend to buy a Graz card. If you like explore city and its surroundings, I would recommend also to buy a Styrian leisure time tickets - it cost 13 euro and its valid for 24 hours for all buses, trams a regional trains in Styria. So if you have enough time and soul of adventurer, you can explore further destinatios in Styria.Guest review byDenis - Review score

We liked the helpful staff and comfortable room with a balcony and a view of the mountains. The weather was bad but the staff gave us ideas about where to walk. A comfortable sitting room with a fire would have made it even better.Guest review byElizabethUnited Kingdom
