I loved the peace and quiet.
I loved the peace and quiet. There are no shops - you need to drive to Currie for that, but you have to drive everywhere pretty much so not a problem. Close access to my own beach was fantastic. Great place to visit and hotel was in a great area.
Great place to visit and hotel was in a great area. Main things to do are Fishing and Golf which was great for the guys but nothing much for us girls to do. We were lucky the races were on and we went to them that was a fun day. Hotel supplied continental breakfast which was great and had a very comfortable bed and the best fluffy bath towels. There was a great outdoor kitchen which was well equipped where we had drinks one night and dinner and drinks another night. Naracoopa is on the quiet side of the island.
Naracoopa is on the quiet side of the island. It is a little out of the way from most of the attractions, but as King Island is small travelling around isn’t really a problem. Fishing form the jetty seemed very easy. The beach and surrounds well kept and clean. There is a bbq area and small playground.Guest review byVickiAustralia - Review score
There's no denying King Island is small and the roads are...
There's no denying King Island is small and the roads are mainy gravel but they are good to drive on and Naracoopa being the less populated side of the island is ideal for those wanting to embrace a slow paced, quiet and nature laden experience - the birdlife is fabulous. Fairy wrens, green parrots, swifts, sparrows, starlings, blackbirds galore. (I'm sure there is more that a birder would recognise.) Nothing is far away and the jetty is easily walkable.
