The city is like a beautiful museum. All the buildings are gorgeous, just like old Europe. The people are also lovely and friendly. It doesn't matter if you Don't speak French well, if try to say a few French words they really appreciate it. The food is also unique and fabulous. There's nothing bad to say about Quebec City!
Quebec City can be enjoyed in 3 days. If in Montréal, make sure to visit the Basilica light show. Go early and buy tickets there. Drive up to Tadoussac. Forget whale watching. Stop in Saint Paul if you enjoy art galleries. There is a Bed and Breakfast there with an unusual spa.
Old Quebec City was so enchanting. SO much to do and not enough time to see it all. We are planning on returning at a later date to take in more of the beauty of this city.
Walk the old walled city and then take a walk to the Citadel (if you like history take the tour here to learn about the city of Quebec) and Plains of Abraham. Take the Grand Allee full of bars and restaurants back to the old city. We loved taking a local bus to Montmorency Falls, take the bridge across the falls and the stairs down and then the gandola back up. Lastly take the ferry across to Levis to get an excellent view of the city. If you have bikes this is the place to ride them.
So much to see and do. Take a trip to Quebec City is well worth it. The mountains, the Olympic stadium are also worth a trip. Great location for the crescent which you can get good food and drinks.
Local people so friendly and helpful when asking for advice. Musicians playing and singing. Old Quebec wonderfull and spotlessly clean. Ten plus. Bus and river trip a must thing to do. So many great restaurants.
Loved the old town, port, botsnic garden and Olympic area. Get the bus to quebec. Stay in the old town. You can see enough if you stay overnight and then you can also do montmorency falls. Try the poutines. Loved mont royal and mctavish walk back takes you past refpath museum which is small but free plus great exhibits. Don't bother with tourist bus in either place.routes are limited and you can easily walk. Taxis from airport to downtown Montreal ate $40 but everyone will expect a tip and won't be shy to ask you.
Has much to offer. Everyone should visit old Quebec city - within the walls and ensure to go down to the lower level city as well. Walk to everywhere once you park in the old city. Excellent restaurants at reasonable costs.
I loved Quebec City. It's charm, architecture and history made me enjoy it regardless of the fact it is a complete tourist trap and expensive. Would have loved more time to explore more of the surrounding areas away from the city.
Loved the history and vibe of the town. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. If you like to walk it is very easy to get around and the bus facilities are great, you can buy a day pass or add money to a travel card. I would have liked to see more options for day trips to the countryside, perhaps wine tasting or a foodie tour for the locally made and grown fresh produce . I could only find one in the city of Quebec and one to the Isle d’Orleans. Great meal at the Hobbit, excellent ice cream shop in rue st Jean opposite the Youville pub and shopping was available everywhere. As well as all the chateaux, galleries, museums and historical buildings make sure you visit the area at the base of the Funiculaire, beautiful town square and the rue du Petit-Champlain. Enjoy!
I was stuck in the blizzard between Montreal and Quebec whit the car engine totally broken. I called the structure just to let them know that I wouldn’t reach the hotel for the Night but was almost impossibile to find someone speaking English (perfect for a country such as Canada…). Then I kindly ask for a refound or just a voucher to use in the future, no kind of humanity in consideration, I lost all the money. I’ll come to Quebec in the summer, but for sure in another place.
Saint-Roch, Quebec City
The apartment is beautiful, really comfortable and incredibly clean. We felt home immediately. It is very well equipped and super easy to find. Also the parking in the property makes a lot of difference (although the location is within walking distance to downtown Quebec). We traveled with our cat and the place was super comfortable and welcoming for everyone. The area is also quiet and safe and the coffee place downstairs has delicious pastries.
Quaint and lovely accommodations. It was Old Quebec and the room was in line with the charm of the area. Very roomy with excellent amenities. Multiple floors. Fabulous proximity to the St.Lawrence River, Hotel Frontenac, and all the beautiful historic sites and buildings of Old QC. Excellent value for the cost. Not high end but very clean and comfortable. Me and my husband were very pleased and plan to go back again.
Upon return from Europe we were very disappointed to see an American flag flying at the hotel. We book about 60 nights in Canada per year and we will now avoid accommodation that is American owned or flying an American flag. We also noted that the Canadian flag was in tatters to the point it couldn't fly and there was no Quebec flag being flown.
The room worked for us. My son loved the coziness to it and he had a great time making breakfast in the morning. At first I thought it was going to be uncomfortable or even inconvenient but it was pleasant and better than expected. The hotel is right in the center of old Quebec and we were centrally located to commute around the city.
Saint-Férréol-les-Neiges
Lisa and Pat where excellent hosts. Lisa gave us a great recommendations about hiking in the surrounding area and restaurants in Quebec. We followed her advise to the T and had a great time. They have a farm not far from the Hotel with beautiful horses that we had a pleasure interacting with. The food served was also excellent.
Very well maintained hotel, staff was friendly & helpful. Hotel was of classic design & had a very nice restaurant. Location was in the perfect location to the activities of "Old Town Quebec" . Price was very reasonable for the quality, location & service. Next time we go to Quebec we will stay here.
Its close to the express way and easy to navigate across Quebec City. This is our go to hotel everytime we visit Quebec. It was our 5th booking to this hotel. The breakfast is enough for us to start the day. For the purpose of having a place to stay for the night, this is a good deal. Plus, they have the friendliest staffs.
This is a beautiful property and the room was lovely. Location was a short walk to upper area of Quebec, and perfectly positioned amongst bars and restaurants. Communication from the hotel was excellent, they regularly guide you before you check-in, during your stay and post stay. The restaurant next door is also amazing.
Location and new recent hotel, near Montmorency Falls and Ile d'Orleans. Cleanliness, breakfast included and comfortable King size view with view of river. TV channel service. No french Radio Canada news. Some channels like CNN and Tele Quebec, worked OK for a while, then disappeared later at night?
We Loved everything! the Monsieur Jean - Hôtel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in my life! The hotel is precious! Really clean! The is Staff is amazing and lovely! The location is perfect to be in Quebec City! Thank you Monsieur Jean - Hôtel for this amazing experience! For sure we will return!
It was a happy trip because of the good location and very friendly staff. Maryna is very friendly, always greets us with a smile and she is very professional. So our trip was very happy and comfortable. Also, the room was warm and clean. We recommend Hotel Le priori to all travelers to Quebec!
Great location and a smaller hotel. We could walk everywhere and enjoyed a quiet room right in the center of Quebec. Staff is welcoming and friendly and very helpful. The room was well designed and exceptionally clean. Free water, coffee and fruit, and having a small fridge was nice to have.
Baie-Saint-Paul
Hotel comfort and friendly professional service.Exceptional spot to travel the area and enjoy the Fall colours and world class environment of this unique part of Quebec. The Charlevoix artists were everywhere and excellent restaurants and outdoor patios were greatly enjoyed.
Excellent location, very convenient. Québec City is fascinating and we spent little time in the accommodations because we spent so much time walking the city, but the apartment was very comfortable and quiet and a perfect refuge for us to rest up for the next day.
It is clean the rooms are smaller than what i was expecting but i guess it’s just the way it is there ! The breakfast is okay, the location is amazing it’s literally in the heart of old quebec ! And calm at night u don’t hear any noise from outside or neighbors !
We were on the road heading out to eastern Canada and decided to stop for a night in Quebec City and do some discovery. We wanted something just off the highway to make getting going in the morning quicker. The hotel was newer, clean and in excellent condition.
Plateau Mont Royal, Montréal
To get to the apartment requires climbing up several steep flights of stairs. Tricky for an older or unfit person with a large suitcase. Although Quebec old town is the place to stsy (this place is right in the centre) more than three nights is too long.
Warm welcome. Spacious rooms with simple decor, but very clean. Hotel was quiet. Beautiful pool area. Wonderful breakfast included in rate. Easy to find and good choice of restaurants within 5 min. driving distance. About 25 min drive to Quebec City.
Lévis
without a doubt the best stay of our 3-week roadtrip in Canada. if you want to visit Quebec city, stay here and take the ferry. Marie-Helene is super friendly and helpful and had a lot of good tips. The place itself is a beautifully decorated mansion.
