This hotel was the best one we stayed at during our trip to Colombia!!! Everything was simply amazing! I can only confirm what the other positive reviews are saying. The staff is great, everything was very well organized. The breakfast is excellent and you can choose from various options, you can use the jacuzzi for one hour per day, there are great options for some tours in the area and it is very close to Salento town with the private path they have and yet quiet and peaceful. And the view is just breathtaking! The food in the restaurant is outstanding! I can only thank you for the great time we had and I would definitely come back if I come to Colombia!

Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Hotel Salento plaza is located in Salento in the Quindio Region, 328 feet from the main square and 16 mi from Santa Rosa de Cabal. I loved the location of the hotel. It was half a block to the main square that the Willy Jeeps leave from so it was so convenient. After a lot of hiking, it's nice not to have to go far to get to restaurants. The hotel was very secure and had wonderful staff that were very helpful with answering questions and on the final day packed a breakfast for us when we were leaving early. The room itself was a great size and super comfortable and quiet. Plenty of hot water and wifi from the room. Breakfast was excellent and I loved the yard where you could sit and watch the birds. The hotel was also able to arrange transport for me to and from the airport in Pereira. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Salento.

Likely the best place I stayed on my Colombia trip. Excellent experience from start to finish. First, the location is beautiful, with stunning views out the balconies and windows facing the town. The staff were great, and the hotel arranged a transfer to Salento from Pereira airport, offering to set up an extra bed in the room for my friend at no extra cost. While lots of hotel breakfasts on Booking.com in Colombia seem to receive "exceptional" ratings, this hotel breakfast thoroughly deserved the "exceptional" title; the breakfast was delicious, with a comprehensive and effectively presented menu, offering complementary arepas, crepes, avocado, fruits, juice, coffee and more. The location is quiet and peaceful, a distance from the crowds, and is also minutes from a viewpoint overlooking the nearby valley. My friend needed to connect to the wifi to review emails and attend important work meetings periodically throughout the day, and had no trouble. Excellent experience overall and would strongly recommend.

From Salento we went to the thermal bath and waterfall at Santa Rosa, we hiked 11 km in the Cocora Valley (to the humming birds and climb to the mirador), we went to Parque del Cafe which is really awesome amusement park in a beautiful area. We also went swimming in the river if Quindio.

Armenia and the coffee country can easily be a three day excursion; we stayed only one night in a hotel on our way to Cali from Bogota. In the past, we have stayed in fincas or haciendas for a more relaxing country feel. Cafe Quindio, in town, is highly recommended.

The property has one of the best so far internet connectivity by fiber optics, I enjoyed the breakfast prepared by single order by the friendly kitchen staff , and last but not least the location around the Colombian mountains gives you a stay of connection with nature, birds, horses and such. I will return on the later future to this lovely place to rest , relax, be connected to the world and visit the wonderful town of Salento in Quindio , Colombia.

A beautiful, peaceful hotel where the staff are very friendly and professional. We have stayed in many different hotels around Quindio and this was one of our favourites. No loud music, good food and nice atmosphere. The staff left out marshmallows to roast on a small fire at night time, which I thought was such a nice touch! Lots of birds around the hotel and very close to visit parque del cafe.

Great and very helpful staff. We checked in late evening and have been starving, so they organized for us some tasty sandwiches, big Thank you from all of us! We also had light lunch and dinner over there, all food was delicious. Probably it was one of the best places we had a meal, Chef definitely has special skill on sauses. Beautiful view from terrace which you can enjoy from hammock. Nice and tidy rooms. We didn't use pool so no comment on that, it's big enough to swim. You can ask for a hairdryer on reception. You can book a coffee tour within this hotel. It was very interesting and the tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Both dinner and breakfast were amazing. The hotel was right next to a 30-minute walk/hike to a breathtaking waterfall. Our tour guide to the waterfall was a dog named Sol who accompanied us the whole way and was mindful of our safety. The staff was very courteous and mindful of our needs and we need to thank Pablo for all the recommendations that he gave us. The facilities are wonderful, it's extremely peaceful, and unlike other glamping places, this is actually a family friendly hotel without parties, late-night drinking, or loud guests as we've seen in other hotels. It's a 10-minute drive to the Valle del Cocora where you can go on horseback riding and other activities. Definitely would recommend, if possible and if we're around again, we'll definitely come back.
