Plenty of restaurants, bars and music for all tastes and genres. Taxis are cheap and readily available. The promenade is long and well maintained. The Old Town is less busy than the promenade area and has many Irish Bars. It is also much more hilly than the promenade.Guest review byAnonymous - Review score
Loved Playa Blanca and would go back !
Loved Playa Blanca and would go back ! While I prefer the traditional beaches of Puerto Del Carmen, the beaches of Playa Blanca grew on me . It’s by Marina Rubicon, so you’ll see lots of boats . The beaches are essentially a series of coves carved out for swimming. The water is stunning! What’s cool is that you can walk down rock steps to get closer to the water . You wouldn’t get that experience at a traditional beach . Some people brought towels and hung out on the rocks by the water . Also the marina is great to walk around at night . The beach has a ton of great restaurants! I liked Berrugo Tapas Bar - try a shot of honey liquor and get a barraquito, both native to the Canary Islands. You won’t regret it! It’s a great spot for families, especially those looking for an upscale get away. It’s also suitable for those not traveling with kids , i.e. girls trips , couples get away, solo travelers .Guest review byMaysaUnited States - Review score

I love the fact that it is a quieter resort than some of the others - all the bars and music are there if you want it but not in your face. I love the coastline and the small beaches and coves. Some lovely local restaurants especially La Aulaga, and a lovely bakery called Damien's nearby.Guest review byMartinaIreland - Review score

In my opinion this is one of the best locations on the island. It's very easy to get to and from the airport and even if you don't hire a car there are lots of bus routes into other cities and villages, such as Arrecife, Tias, Teguise, Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. Also plenty of taxi ranks. It's a quick walk to the beach and lots of beaches to choose from, including dog-free ones. Lovely promenade along the front that is well paved and lit, you can walk along the coast for miles in either direction. There is enough going on in the evenings for me personally but the bars and restaurants are all quite low key. Most restaurants were traditional Spanish - tapas and seafood but there are also lots of Italian restaurants/pizzerias. It's the best of both worlds as if you want more lively/ entertainment/ dancing or to have a later night you can go to nearby Puerto del Carmen.Guest review byClaireUnited Kingdom - Review score

Cleanliness of the duvet they should never happen stained with bloods. We are very conscious of the very clean so we stripped all beds and put them in the laundry and to find that there was blood stains on our duvet cover was absolutely disgraceful, and if I don’t hear back from Booking .com with some sort of compensation, I will put this on TripAdvisor .Guest review byLizIreland - Review score

I went there to fly the famous hang gliding sites of Famara, el Cuchillo , Tina Sario and they were all great. Yaiza is a quiet town not really touristy. I liked that. I wanted to practice my Spanish which I had been using for a year . All, and I mean all the locals were warm and welcoming (and they could speak English too) but were patient with my attempts. Local eateries were very reasonably priced though I did also go to a posher restaurant at the back of the town. But even then my meal with drinks was about 20 euros. I also ate ay UGA ad various beaches but I like the local stuff more. Gosh it was clean. No rubbish, no graffiti, the locals take care of their townGuest review byMartin - Review score

It was quite, unspoilt ,no loud music, night clubs, flashing lights or tacky decor . A relatively new town but should try and maintain a high standard. Could not fault any restaurant. Check out the "H20 private boat trip", it is so worth it. This time we went out we had dolphins and hump back whales it was like living in a David Attenborough programme. This was all before the activities what an experience.Guest review bymariaIreland - Review score

I was there in early March, and it did feel a bit off-seasony and quiet. Some of the cafes I had wanted to try were closed until the end of March. Still, a small handful of good restaurants, and easy access by road to the other parts of the island, so it was a good base to explore from. I recommend Ikarus for fresh fish, Boutique del pan-San Rafael for coffee, and the Creperia for cheap/cheerful tapas and drinks outside with music. I found the locals all very friendly.Guest review byEricaUnited Kingdom - Review score
Spectacular Position. Great Views. Individual.
Spectacular Position. Great Views. Individual. Peaceful and Private. A car is essential. Not far from Playa Quemada a quiet seaside village with a choice of small restaurants next to the sea. We mainly self-catered which was easy in the well equipped kitchen which included a dishwasher (and tablets)! Hint: Shop on the way to the property as there is nothing anywhere near it.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom
