I recently stayed at Domaine de Verchant, and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene surroundings and the historic charm of the property. The hotel is perfectly situated just outside Montpellier, in a peaceful and quiet area, providing an ideal escape from the bustle of the city. The gardens and beautifully preserved historic buildings transport you to another century, making the entire experience magical. The mattress was absolutely heavenly – it gave me the best sleep of my life! The room was meticulously designed, combining modern comforts with timeless elegance. The staff were absolutely amazing – attentive, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making my stay unforgettable. Their hospitality added a special touch to the entire experience. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Domaine de Verchant. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, history, or luxury, this place has it all.

The property offers a great location - it is in 3 minutes walk from the sea and 15 minutes away from the city center. It's territory is spacious, green and comfortable. It also allows a variety of activities from table tennis and swimming till playing or just chilling on the grass.
The staff is friendly and very helpful. If you need information or have any issue those will be attended in no time.
An apartment for 3 people could be quite small for 3 adults. It is ideal for a couple or an adult with a kid.
The swimming pool was exceptionally clean all the time during it's opening hours.
On the other side of the road (just in 7-10 minute walk) you can find a bus stop (Ponent) and a pond where you can fish, crab hunt or do some stand up paddle or any kind rowing/canoeing/kayaking.

The staff, all of them from those responsible for welcome, cleaning, restaurant and spa, were efficient, kind and polite. Excellent! The spa is divine: excellent treatments, polite staff and beautiful rooms. And the pool was magical: perfect temperature, gorgeous view, even with the rainstorm outdoors ! And the restaurants, both of them, were excellent! Each had a different approach, each provided delicious, creative choices. Un régale !!!

The hotel was absolutely incredible, the staff were very accomodating and friendly going over and above to make our stay special. Pool was stunning, sitting there with a glass of wine I could spend many hours. Location was very unique, the hotel is split across old houses in the Castillon and you are in a true rural french town overseeing the Pont du Gard. Honestly I can't wait to go back.

Unbelievable experience to visit this unique ancient city! If you are able, the tour of the chateau and the walk around the entire ramparts is STUNNING! Two nights gave us one full day to explore. Readtsurants were lively. Of course we had cassoulet! (One tip:share it unless you have a VERY hearty appetite!) we loved lunch al fresco at Lucien. And the mini train that circles the walls from outside is worth the small
Price just to understand the true scale. Just imagine what it felt like to confront that massive citadel back in the days. Staying INSIDE the city is unbeatable! By 5pm, the crowds are gone and you have the air of the city to yourself. With two choices of hotels, you can go basic at Le Donjon OR splurge at Hotel de la Cite in the old Bishop’s Palace. At least go there for a meal or a cocktail and follow in the footsteps of famous visitors like Walt Disney and so many others! You’ll see where he got inspiration for all his castles! One note: there is a beautiful amphitheater in Carcassone. If you can attend an even there, do it!!!

Tram system good and reasonable, and resulted in whole of central area being car/van free.
Trip to Sete for seafood - Chez Francis was very good. 20 minutes on train.
Visits to Nimes for Roman museum and colosseum,
Beziers for its cathedral and old town.
Fabre museum in Montpellier very big and interesting, also MOCO for more modern art

We really enjoyed our time in Narbonne.
We really enjoyed our time in Narbonne. For us, it was the perfect size. There was enough to see and do to keep us busy, but it was still small enough that we could walk around, get to know the city, and really get a feel for the place.
The market was a highlight and a great place to explore, and we had some really good meals at the restaurants around town. We also made the trip to Les Grands Buffets, which was definitely an interesting and memorable experience. It was unlike anything else we did on the trip!
There were plenty of sights and interesting places to visit without feeling like we were constantly rushing from one thing to the next. Narbonne also turned out to be a great home base for exploring the Languedoc-Roussillon region. We were able to take day trips and see more of the area while still coming back to a town that was easy and enjoyable to explore on its own.
Overall, we really enjoyed Narbonne. It had just the right combination of food, history, things to see, and a relaxed, walkable feel. It was a great stop on our trip and a place we would happily visit again.

Great city, peaceful and easy to drive to near cities like Carcassonne and Narbonne to explore and visit. I wish I could have stayed more days exploring and walking around.

A charming town with lots of great, fresh seafood options. Stay away from the touristy, over-priced restaurants along the canal though. I highly recommend that visitors speak some French, there were not a lot of English speakers here and I was glad that I can speak intermediate level French. The beaches are beautiful, I especially enjoyed Plage de Baleine. Parking is easy and the beaches are all sand, no need to be concerned about rocks.

Argelès-sur-Mer is a wonderful destination for a seaside holiday. We especially enjoyed the wide beach, beautiful promenade, cosy cafés and restaurants, and the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. It is a lovely place for walking, unwinding and enjoying the scenery. We had a wonderful time and would happily return.
