This was a hotel with the best staff I have ever experienced. Very attentive, polite, helpful and courteous. The rooms were beautiful and very cosy, the beds were comfortable, Wi-Fi worked well. It was wonderfully quiet at night. Dinner and breakfast in the adjoining restaurant were excellent. There were plenty of parking spaces nearby. The lounges and bar were very inviting. I can highly recommend this hotel.

From US$90 per nightA clean and spacious apartment at a very good price. The host provided detailed instructions on locating the lock box and accessing the property. Given the provision of a cooker and microwave, we brought our own food and enjoyed a pleasant, relaxed evening meal at the table overlooking the lights by the river. The apartment provided a convenient base for travelling on into the Peak District the next morning after a good night's sleep. We found there was plenty of free overnight parking (after 6pm) on the road right by the apartment.

Good value for money. It was the cheapest hotel I have ever stayed at so I wasn't expecting much, and wasn't disappointed. Room was very basic, no TV, windows were not in the greatest shape, but there was a kettle with plenty of coffee, tea and milk sachets, which was great. Only downside for me was breakfast. No hot breakfast options, mainly cereal, toast, jam and yoghurt. Staff was friendly, parking was free. It's a perfect place to stay if you're going to peak district and just need a place to sleep for a night.

The Hotel is brand new, which is pretty rare considering it's in the heart of the peak district. However it is very nicely built and fits with it's surroundings nicely. There is plenty of parking, a great restaurant, space to relax and play boardgames. And lots of dogs. If you are not a dog person I'd stay elsewhere. Facilities for washing and storing your bike was great and saved the car from being covered in mud on the way home.

The lounge/dining area is very pleasant, and the breakfast buffet surprisingly good for a budget hotel. I had a great stay in the bunk room. Really nice staying in an only a 2 person shared room compared to a larger hostel. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location is great for the Monsal trail. I thought the apartment was a perfect base for an adventurous weekend in the Peak district.
