I loved the bed and the large TV that connects to our phone and Netflix, without the hassle of having to log in or out. The Rooms vibe and design is truly fabulous. The shower has hot towels and plenty of fragrant body wash and shampoo available for guests. The reception area is also very stylish and elevated. The room is clean and cosy! Would definitely recommend!

The location was well placed for us, and it was easy to jump on the main tram. I cannot emphasize this enough. We should have stayed more nights. For the same price as some central accomodations you get to sleep on a boat. Cleanliness was top notch, and everything on the ship was well put together and design wise spoke to each other. Staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast area is beautiful. The bathroom looks amazing. You will not see such tiling in real buildings.

FAQs about hotels in Scotland

A Rugged Jewel

With round-top mountains and green hills extending in almost every direction, and stone houses dotted around, Scotland is a jewel of nature forged by ice, winds and seas over thousands of years. But Scotland is much more than beautiful landscapes: it’s the finest malt whiskies in Moray County, the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, the kilts and the bagpipes, the exciting and modern Glasgow, and much more!

The country can be divided into 3 areas. The Highlands and Islands have mountainous landscapes and numerous bodies of fresh water, including Loch Lomond and Loch Ness, as well as little cities like Inverness and numerous islands like the Isle of Skye. Don’t miss the deals on Booking.com if you’re looking for hotels in the Scottish Highlands.

The Central Lowlands are the most densely inhabited area, and with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen located in this part of Scotland, 5-star hotels are common here.

The Southern Uplands are composed of a range of hills and valleys stretching almost 200 kilometres, home to several hotels with a spa - a relaxed option to enjoy this area.

As some of the more unusual Scotland hotels, castles can be a particularly good option to enjoy a Scotland holiday in royal style.

Fantastic location. The hotel has the nicest staff and receptionists and they were very attentive. The hotel was outstanding in every way. The place was clean, inviting, and had great service. We had multiple meals and the food itself was pretty good and well-valued. The room was cozy and tastefully furnished. I had a great time during my visit. In the future, I plan to return for a longer stay.

Lovely estate which has beautiful grounds and is very clean. It's a picturesque place to be staying. The villa was lovely and spotless. Great staff at reception and the bistro which had a great choice of menu. Although we didn't use the swimming pool it looked very inviting. We will pack swim wear next time we visit

We actually booked to go to Pitlochry mainly for the festival theatre , we had 2 shows booked , which were both excellent , it is a very lovely theatre and more enjoyable than the big city theatre experience. Beautiful scenery , also enjoyed our visit to Atholl palace for afternoon tea . Will probably go back for longer next time , 2 days not long enough

I'm biased, Perth is the city I was born in and will always call home but I can honestly say that the River Tay is still the river that I judge every other one by and none have compared. The Tay is the most beautiful. Perth has some amazing spaces for walking and outside pursuits. I am not one for fancy restaurants but Perth seems to have lots of eating establishments to cater for everyone, but for the best fish and chips visit Holdgates chip shop and a visit to Murrays bakery for a pie and a pineapple tart is always a must. Perth is a good base for travelling to other places for sightseeing too - this time we visited Falkirk to visit the Kelpies and also to experience the Falkirk Wheel - it was a wonderful day out.
