Hotel in Claygate
In Claygate, The Foley has been a village pub since the 1780s. Now a traveler's inn, it has boutique-style bedrooms, a stylish pub, and a dining room. Wi-Fi and parking are free. The Foley is lovely, well kept, a comfortable place to stay as well as a great place to hang out. I was only staying for two nights, but would have loved the opportunity to stay longer. HUGE shoutout to Savannah, Nicholas, and Richard! They all went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The room had great amenities with lots of local snacks and beverages. I had a lovely breakfast and a tasty dinner during the stay. I’m not a beer drinker, so I cannot attest to their offerings, but the wine list was very nice. The patio area was very inviting, but unfortunately I did not use, as the weather was not the best. Water pressure was spot-on (which is usually a complaint from me.), HVAC worked well.

a great place to travel around Surrey... we went to the Brooklyn museum and the Mercedes Exhibition. the guildford cathedral, Brocketts Farm. all within an hours drive.
Guildfod is a charming little city. Have a brunch there in one of the older traditionnal cafés. The countryside is beautiful, so it is worth having a car and drive around. I recommend Newlands Corner, a beautiful spot for sightseing, walking ( many trails start from there) or picnic. It has great views on the Surrey Hills.
Reigate is rated one of the best villages in Surrey every year for restaurants, scenery, access to hikes and Surrey Downs vistas. The town has some amazing restaurants and sights.
I was taking part in the Guildford International Music Festival at the University of Surrey, which was a great cultural experience for me. The city itself is cozy, with nice houses, shops, coffee places and restaurants.
A very nice, clean suburb of Surrey. Good pubs. Close enough to London and places like Oxford for a day trip
lovely village surrounded by the beautiful surrey countryside.....quintessentially engish with thatch cottages and village greens. A good curry house and independent shops. lots of good cafes.
Staines is 35 minutes by train outside London. It is a convenient location for visiting Surrey tourism spots such as Legoland, Windsor Castle and Runnymede. Also a short train ride from Royal Kew Gardens and a short taxi ride from the beautiful Savil Garden. Runnymede is also nearby, site of the signing of the Magna Carta and an interesting half-day trip. The park also includes a memorial to President Kennedy. The town itself is emerging as a bedroom community to London. Although not terribly picturesque, it has all the amenities, including an easy bus ride to Heathrow for under £5. The Swan is reason enough to visit. Such a great pub and hotel.
Beautiful town in Surrey Hills. Winding roads and breathtaking views. Extremely friendly people. Waterstones is a cozy little bookshop that is great for book lovers. Cote and Rialto for tasty food. Support the Hospice.
Lovely city. Great array of shops and places to eat. Lovely oldy worldy charm and close to the Surrey Hills with beautiful countryside.
A really nice town with lost of shops and pubs. Excellent base for exploring the Surrey Hills and surrounding places of interest.
My favourite hotel in Surrey! I had a day or 2 leave from work, so treated myself to here. I could not ask for more - swam in the outdoor lido, sipped on an elderflower beverage on the beautiful lawned garden, which has a backdrop setting to the beautiful Surrey (AONB), took a hike to the Boxhill viewing point and enjoyed the amazing landscape.. The hotel also makes the best Parmesan and Truffle chips - absolutely delicious!!!
Located in the rural Surrey countryside and a good base from which to explore the south. Also half an hour by train to central London. Pretty grounds and walking distance to the village. Nice layout with pool, gym, bar, restaurant. Took advantage of a great buffet dinner and the next morning a buffet breakfast. The staff were superb - with a shout out to the many easy going Aussie expats working there.
Upgraded to superior double room which made my stay - I would not have liked a smaller room. Quiet, great shower, comfortably firm bed, clean with lots of additional nice touches. The Hotel is dated but I would stay again and would recommend. Great location to explore North Surrey Downs and easy walk to Reigate town centre.
Farnham
We liked everything about this beutifull hotel.Unfortunately we had to leave to early in the morning to try breakfast, but we were offered fruit and cereal as an alternative, which we appreciated. The setting is amazing in the Surrey Hills and an hour away from Gatwick Airport and an hour away from London.Lots of car parking,
The location was great. The train station was quite close. There were quite a number of good eateries and a shopping mall all within walking distance from the apartment. It was less than an hour from Heathrow and for us quite ideal because we flew into the UK and we were dropping off our son at the University of Surrey.
I always book this hotel when I go to Surrey. Location is very good, free parking, the rooms are very well equipped, clean, spacious, breakfast very good, lots of choices, food at the restaurant is amazing, staff are welcoming, very helpful and responsive. I will definitely recommend
A treat and retreat! Beautiful tranquil surroundings, forest walks, lovely wines, farm shop, staff and gorgeous, cute hotel. A special thank you to Flori who went out of her way to look after me, I didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend this Surrey hills gem of a place.
Good breakfast, I was able to order vegetarian sausages and staff were lovely. Very nice quality interiors, great spa facilities and location was good. Beautiful outside garden and the views of Surrey hills were amazing. Great for couples or romantic weekend.
Well presented hotel with nice public areas and rooms. Pleasant staff. Really nice restaurant area and a well priced dinner menu. Overall a great 1 night stay for couples exploring that area of Surrey with good access to NT properties in the area.
We booked this hotel because we wanted to bring our dog with us but still wanted somewhere that offered a beautiful room, was in a brilliant location for walking in the Surrey Hills and offered great food. This hotel offered everything we wanted.
Amazing location for competition at Surrey sports Park. Super friendly staff in every part of hotel. Parking excellent. Nice dark room for sleep. Breakfast and dinner delicious, excellent range of options.
Staff were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The OXBO restaurant, where you have brekkie, has stunning views for Surrey and is a lovely space. The bed was extremely comfortable with very good pillows.
Welcomed by the lovely reception team and the location is great. Ideal for the races or a trip to Surrey hills or south West London. Hotel is right by the high street with lots of good restaurants.
